I loved this jacket for all the reasons I listed in the PROS: so lightweight, yet keeps me very warm. Resists water nicely. I loved it so much that I bought one for my daughter, who is the same petite size. Problem is, I washed it according to directions. Put it in the dryer at no heat with wool balls. Unfortunately - a bummer, really - it shrunk just enough that it is a bit snug. I tried my daughter's jacket and can feel the difference. But at this price and for all the PRO reasons, I won't give it up. I just have to be careful what I wear underneath - nothing bulky. I would recommend that drying directions be: air dry. It will dry in a jiffy!

Purchased this jacket about three weeks ago and compacted it for the first time. (Folded into the pocket) After having it folded into the pocket for only about an hour or so the outside of the coat has lost its shape and no longer fits like it did before. Very disappointed that something they promote in their coat actually makes the coat look and wear very poor. Would not recommend this coat based on the fact that using this coat properly makes it look and wear poorly. Maybe I can return it because this very upsetting.

Honestly I had really high hopes for this jacket as my first Arcteryx piece since I always stuck with North Face for the longest time. It did an amazing job of keeping me warm even when it was brutally cold outside and I'm the kind of person that gets cold really fast. I really loved the fit of the jacket and the minimalistic bulk of it. However after a week of two it started leaking down from the seams and I didn't pay much attention to it but every night or so I'd find random clumps on down feathers on my wardrobe floor so that sucked. Also, if there's a wind of any sort and no matter how cold it is, YOU WILL GET COLD. I ended up returning the jacket and getting the Kappa Hoody, I don't have to think a million times about whether I'll wreck it or not and It seems just as warm to me honestly. If Arcteryx could fix the build quality on this and try and fix the wind issue it would be a real killer jacket.

Upon purchasing this down jacket, I was very excited. Having more Arc'Teryx in my closet than any other top mountain brand, (Patagonia, Marmot) I truly expected to have top quality in the Cerium hoody. Unfortunately, the down feathers tends to come out of the stitching. I almost sent this product back, but did not want to deal with the hassle. The Cerium has held up just OK this season. I live in the high country of Colorado and I really need great equipment to withstand the winters. Overall, this piece is a decent buy, but certainly not my favorite for the price.

It feels great, it fits great, it is warm, perfect length, packs small, true to size, real light, etc. I just wish seaglass was seaglass and not just almost plain bright green (and forest green inside). I would definitely recommend this down (fits great under my Alpha SV too!) but in a darker color because dark feathers show through the thin green fabric and look like stains before you realize what it actually is.

I had purchased cerium hoody (White) but I returned it as feathers that were darker can be seen through the fabric. At first, I thought it was dirt on the jacket. Also the fit is a lot roomier than I had expected. I like the colour Verrra and the fit of the LT version. Yet, the zipper is disappointing - it is tiny, feels filmsy and I have difficulty zipping it up and through. I don't recall this to the Cerium Hoody. Not certain if I would be keeping this jacket or not.

I bought this jacket a couple weeks ago. I love it, but I am having some issues. 1) I get a rash on my neck every time I wear it. I have never had this with other clothing, and have no known allergies. What is the material around the neck? 2) After only a few times wearing it, feathers are starting to poke out. I can't stuff them back in so I pull them out. What is the suggested practice or should this not be happening? Anyone else have these issues? I'm a huge Arc'teryx fan and want to love this jacket but it doesn't seem to love me.

I love this jacket. However, the first night that I wore it, the elbow ripped right at the seam. The outer layer is not durable at all.. beware of sticks and sharp objects. For the $$ spent it was a huge bummer. Would definitely recommend a jacket that is more durable. Worried it will rip again :(

It's a great warm jacket but the feathers keep coming out from different places. I went to store and showed them the jacket and they said it's normal to loose the feathers from the jacket. I understand that one or two feathers is ok to come out and that too once in a while but it happens daily. I could see thay the white feathers are sneaking out daily from different places. Also the reply I got it from store attendant is not satisfactory. I think my product is defective and store person does not want to entertain regarding this.

With one exception, I have loved my Cerium LT Hoody over the last four years. I have worn almost daily in the winter months and it has performed well as an outer shell for all conditions except wet snow and strong winds. Adding a waterproof shell took care of those weaknesses and I knew that I would have to do that before I purchased. What I am disappointed in is the main zipper. This started to fail last year and none of the zipper maintenance techniques I have used on other equipment has worked with this jacket's zipper. I have coats much older than this that the zipper's perform without problem. The defect is using a lightweight setup in the pursuit of the lightest equipment. I am going to take to an equipment repair shop, but I am almost certain that replacement may not be an option. My backup down hoody by another top manufacturer has not had this same problem. I have read other reviews where the zipper has failed within the first two years so I will not be buying another Cerium LT.

I purchased this jacket for my boyfriend as a birthday gift in September. He finally had a chance to wear it out as the weather got colder, and unfortunately, it is not nearly as warm as we were told it is. He can wear it from the house to the car, but when it comes to going for a walk outside, it doesn't do the job. He had been looking at this jacket for months and I was so excited for him to finally have it. He's not one to complain about feeling cold ever, so I was very surprised to hear this jacket has to be kept until spring or early fall. Since it was purchased in September, I can no longer return it to the store. It is very very nice and fits him perfectly. Just not doing what we thought it would do.

I really wanted to love and keep this jacket. The colours look cute and I love most Arc'teryx gear as that's the only brand I wear hiking in all seasons. The fit Of this jacket is very strange, too wide in the hips area and too narrow in the chest. Initially I purchased a size S and it was way too big around the bottom part/ hips area, returned and got a size XS which again was a fail as it was too tight in the chest area and I'm not a chesty girl. Arc'teryx, please fix the fit of this jacket. Otherwise I can't comment on quality or warmth.

I have this jacket in the lovely when clean Dew Drop color, which is very light, thus necessitating frequent washing otherwise even with infrequent use the cuffs and collar become dirty rather quickly. Therein lies the issue. I have followed all of the washing instructions to a T. I have washed this jacket with other down jackets manufactured by other pricey and reputable outdoor brands and this one is a disaster. After three cycles in the dryer with two tennis balls and two wool dryer balls all of the down clumps to the backside of the arms - my other brand jackets came out fluffy as ever with no clumping/migration issues with the down. This has happened every time I have washed the jacket (even by itself), so I can only conclude that it must be a defect with the jacket, not my washing procedure. I have many, many other Arc'teryx pieces that have been wonderful (the Patera Parka is one of the best in my closet and I wear it daily in the winter), but this jacket just does not live up to the advertised quality and "innovative" design of the Arc'teryx brand. Based on other reviews I've read regarding the issues with the down, how long the warranty process takes (2+ months), and the likelihood that the company will determine this isn't covered by warranty as it has done with so many other purchasers of this jacket, I am probably stuck with a very expensive purchase that cannot be washed (this is usually very dirty looking) or else it won't be insulating and will likely stay in the closet.

This was a great jacket until I washed it. I followed all the directions to the letter. The down is all clumped up within the fold rendering the jacket as useless.

I bought this jacket a week ago and I've worn it just to and from work. The down is already coming out of the seams and there is a small hole in the sleeve. I had been researching jackets for about a month and finally purchased this one. Really disappointed because of the price. Not worth the investment because it has started coming apart

The Improved fit.... no its like a girls jacket now. The longer length restricts your range of motion. Bending over or sitting causes the jacket to cut in to your upper thigh. I own the old shorter body length one and it is excellent to move in. Its just starting to wear out. Size XL height 5,10 chest 46" weight 200lbs

I have a lot of Arcteryx gear and this is my first real problem. The jacket is light and warm and a good fit so I chose it for an expedition last week in the Norwegian Arctic. But for no apparent reason, as I was putting the jacket on in my tent, the zip broke, rendering it dysfunctional during a storm. Maybe I was unlucky with this particular jacket, or maybe it is a problem with trying to save so much weight on the little zip. Had I chosen my Canada Goose Hybridge Lite down jacket, it is not quite as warm but it has a much more substantial zip, not liable to fail in the same way. Arcteryx has not let me down before, but you have to have gear you can depend on. This will be an interesting test of the company's policy to see how smoothly they repair / replace the item. Let's see.

For the money this jacket should have so much more. The zipper is very poorly designed. I have to re-zip it almost every time I wear the jacket. At the bottom of the jacket, the zipper somehow doesn't hold together (see pic) and it is very difficult to fix it. The hood is pretty much useless as the there are no drawstrings in the front (the string behind the hood does not help either). Also the amount of feathers it loses compared to other down jackets I own is exponential. For the money there are better options out there I'm not I will buy another Cerium LT Hoody again.

Overall love the style, look, fit and warmth of this jacket but incredibly disappointed in the quality. The down feathers are leaking out the back seams. I thought this would subside after a couple wears but now I am embarrassed to put it on as it looks like I have two cuts down the back of the jacket. For such an expensive down jacket, in comparison to competitors, I expected more from Arc'teryx. This is the 5th item I have owned from Arc'teryx and the only one I would not recommend.

Just tried this at a store in Denmark. Very expensive but seemed quite lovely. I didn't know the brand and hence had to look it up which lead me to this page. I must say after reading the criticism about down leaking, leaking zipper, poor material etc. I immediately noticed the very flimsy zipper myself. I can say with absolutely certainty that I don't dare buying this jacket. A jacket at this price should be flawless. It's proving near impossible to replace my old the north face diez summit jacket with 900 fill down, ultra lite and very strong pertex fabric. Anyone remember ? Back when NF made quality? Dear Arcteryx why so many faults on a potentially high quality jacket?
