I have worn Asics for more than 10 years, starting when I ran alot to now when I mostly walk and jog. My Podiatrists like the Asics brand. However, unfortunately, I think the quality of this brand is declining each year. This venture 6 model Is much less comfortable than the venture 5. Main discomfort is chafing around the ankles because the fabric is rougher than version five. Also the 6 are less comfortable because the sole is stiffer and less cushy than the 5. Love the styling but unfortunately have to return these.

I like the looks of the shoe but for me wasn't comfortable and didn't provide the arch support that I need. In fact, they felt like there was very little arch support. Returning them.

Great price and Okay for very casual wear, but not that nicely made. I am returning them and will replace with a more structured shoe.

The Venture 6 is a well made shoe. However, they are going back because they are too narrow in the toe box. I was a Asics Nimbus devotee (especially N15) for years. But Asics redesigned the Nimbus shoe making the toebox tapered and smaller. I was hoping, after reading the reviews, the Venture 6 would have more room the toe area. Sadly, they are tapered and tight as well.

I didn't realize this was exactly the same as the pair I was replacing because the support wore out so quickly. These fit fine (which is hard for me) but don't seem to be the best shoes for someone who needs to off-load the ball-of-foot area. Though these are a medium, they aren't a bad fit for a narrower heel and wider toe box.

I have been buying Asics for years because they have always been a good fit. This pair was the same size I always buy but felt narrower. I compared the soles with another pair of Asics and they seemed to be the same but the my eye they are narrower, and I can feel it.

I'm normally an 11N in running shoes. I took a chance on these because of the price and reviews. They were just too wide for me.

Wasn’t the quality I’m used to from ASICS. Maybe the problem was just the style but I returned.

These shoes were clunky and chunky even tightly laced. It seemed there was extra material where the arch is at. Sending them back. Thank you Zappos for your return policy. It' hard to find shoes for my strange feet!

I have worn and loved Asics GEL-Venture 5 shoes for years. And now they aren't available; when I looked for them, I was directed to this runner, the GEL-Venture 6. I ordered; they looked good, but I put them on and they do NOT fit the same as the older ones. They feel looser in the front part of the runner, and wider overall. The other thing I noticed was that while the older version had 7 lace holes, these only have 6; I think that's a big reason for feeling looser and not fitting around the heel. I'm disappointed and I'm returning them.

Shoe does the job. Does run narrower near the toes. They can be stretched with a few runs. There also isn't as much support as advertised.

I don't understand why all the reviews for this shoe say that it has great arch support. With the insole that it comes with, there is almost zero support. I remedied this by putting in some spenco insoles, and now the shoe is great. For the money I decided it was worth it to just use my own insoles, but if you want shoes that are supportive right out of the box you'll have to find something else.

I read the reviews and most said they ran small, so I bought the 8 instead of the 7 1/2. They were too big. I should have purchased my regular size. The toe box is wide which is what i need, however, they didn't feel that comfortable to me. If you are unsure, buy both sizes and return the one that doesn't fit.

I have a lot of foot pain, and was looking for some new sneakers. The reviews were so good on these, but I was super disappointed. They are very cushiony, but provide now arch support at all. My feet were throbbing at the end of the day. The laces were weirdly short as well. I'd already worn them outside, so didn't return them. I'll try them with SmartFeet inserts and see it that helps. The width was good, at least.

Asics, as a brand, have become narrower than in the past.

Comfortable when on flat land. Not enough support for me on hills. I supinate, so need to find better side support and shoes with soles that protrude a little like wings on the outside of the widest part of my feet. If it weren’t for my supination problem, I’d give them 5 stars.

I do not love these. The color is meh and the toe box is wider than I like, they feel a little "mushy".

I wanted to keep these because the cushioning felt so good, but the toe box taper was too much, even in the D width, and even in a half size up from my usual 9. Back to New Balance, unfortunately.

I have been an avid GT 1000 shoe wearer for 10+ years. The new GT 1000 6 is narrow and not a comfortable fit so I decided to try another variety of Asics thus the Gel Venture 6 was one of my selections. The shoe itself was sturdy with arch support and comfort in the toe area. However the back of the shoe comes up unusually high on the back of my heel that made the shoe not feel comfortable. I was afraid after a long walk/run I would end up with a sore upper ankle so I returned the shoe.

I wear a size 10 in nike and the size 10 seemed to fit nicely. returning them due to rubbing on my heel/achilles... foot bed is quite soft so when walking and the footbed compresses, it rubbed up and down my heel too much for my liking. good looking shoe, just didn't work for me.

So my rating is for my personal experience, and not necessarily because I think the shoe is bad. I ordered a size up from my usual, I'd been trying on that half size and it felt great for a little extra room for hiking. These are too big, by quite a lot. I think my normal size might be on the big size for these. Second, I ordered the wise size. It is almost too narrow for one of my feet. If I loosen the laces just at the toe box, I have some room, but that exacerbates the size problem. I got these to hike rather than trail run, but my feet were killing me on my first hike. When I tried them again with some adjustments, I had to turn around less than a quarter mile in to get my hiking boots from the car. These don't hurt when I'm just walking in the grocery store or 5aking my kid to the park, so I'll keep them and let them be my every day shoe, but they're going absolutely nowhere near a trail ever again. I'm not sure what about them is so bad, I don't think it's purely that they're a little big. I can say I like the way they look.

This shoe is not as comfortable as most other ASICS, I buy ASICS everytime and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed. They are pretty, super lite weight, not enough cushion, stiff, and slippery.

I like the colors, but I can't believe it's marked as a wide because it definitely wasn't wide enough for my foot.

These sneakers are not as comfortable as other Asics I have had. There is definitely less arch support than the others. I added a liner for more arch support. I wear them to walk in the woods and also to walk on concrete floors. They do not have as much cushion as I would like. Overall they are good enough to keep but I wouldn't buy them again.
