I can't find these in 4e anymore which stinks, but now the last 2 pair i've had, the 17 & 18, my big toe has come out up front!! And I don't walk a mile a day or train!!

I liked the shoes a lot but they ran 1/2 size small and I have 4 other pairs of ASICS in the size I ordered so had to send them back ! I went out to a local store and bought instead .

Purchased these a few months ago...I couldn't be more disappointed by the fit. The shoe itself is much more narrow. I was suggested to purchase 1/2 size up to accommodate, which I did, giving me a "duck" foot. The stability isn't there anymore. I'm not sure why the change. My 19's...LOVE them.

I feel like all the features of the shoe are great, but they don't work for me. The colors are wonderful, they are very lightweight, the cushioning is there. They just are not working for me, as maybe I need more cushioning or less, or more neutrality. I have been having pain diring and after runs that I did not previously have, so I guess it is not a good fit for my running style.

I run 4 miles a day, 6 days a week = 24 miles a week. Not a lot. Right? The inner rim started fraying right away. I ALWAYS get a hole in the top of my right big toe box and they wear out SUPER FAST! I got 13 weeks out of them, 312 miles before they were totally worn out! But, honestly, I love them. I've been running in Asics for over 10 years. I can't bring myself to change. I love the big toe box and when they are new, they are THE BEST!

After very limited wear, I noticed that I now have 2 holes where my big toes are in the shoe. This has never happened with any of the cumulus shoes I've purchased in the past. The colors are amazing and the comfort is great - but I have to have shoes last me at least 6 months to a year not just 3 months!

They were great (and comfortable, too) when I bought them. But two weeks later, the fabric at the back of the shoe started to peel, and they were very uncomfortable with cotton socks. Luckily, the ASICS outlet at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, VA let me exchange them for a pair of the GEL-Nimbus 19.

I've been wearing Cumulus for a while now and purchased these in the same size as my previous pairs and for some reason these were made smaller. Size up a 1/2 size from previous years.

Like so many others, this ASICS Cumulus shoe continues to shrink in length, width and comfort on my feet. ASICS Cumulus was my go-to shoe since 2004. Not anymore.

I wear narrow and this narrow width shoe was way to wide. I tried a half size down and it didn’t help. I have always been happy with ASICS and have felt that the narrow was a true fit but not with this shoe. I found the Nimbus to be too wide also. The other problem is that the heel counter is very stiff and high; I got a blister under ankle bone. Cushioning was good. I’m very disappointed with the recent ASICS shoes that are marked narrow but are not. I guess the assumption is that everyone wears orthotics, which I don’t.

I should have listened to the previous reviews. Very disappointed in this shoe. No comfort. My heel actually hurts wearing this shoe.

Not happy - i’ve been a fitness instructor for 15 years the gel Nimbus has always been my go to. I did see the reviews on this - but I went ahead to try them anyway. everyone’s review was correct. The toe area is way too small- I’ve always given my feet half size larger - normally wear an 8 1/2 & as always I bought the 9. The area where the toes are is much too narrow very uncomfortable and didn’t feel like the same shoe at all. Fortunately Zappos is great and they refunded me even before I send the shoes back because I’ve been such a good customer.

I had to go up a size from 7.5 to 8 and it still doesn't feel right on the top of my foot. It feels like it is taking circulation away from my foot. I've always been a 7.5 in Asics and never had to change sizes. Also the sole is wearing out a lot faster than normal

It's a nice looking shoe, but...
I had read the reviews about the 19 being short, so I sized up a half size and went with the wide. It was still too short! So I'm returning them. Please bring back the Cumulus of old, like the 17. It was a great shoe!

I'm totally gutted. I've worn Asics shoes exclusively the entire time I've been running (so for more than 5 years) and have always found them comfortable and supportive. I bought my usual size in this shoe and after my first run, my big toenail was bruised. I thought perhaps they just needed breaking in, but after three more runs, my big toe was really painful and I could feel it repeatedly banging against the structure of the shoe at every step.
Of course, now I can't return the shoes because they've been used. I really wish I'd seen the advice about sizing up. I can't afford to buy another pair so I'm stuck with my old trainers for now. Good thing I didn't throw them out, though the reason I replaced them is that they needed it - a hole is developing and the tread is worn down.

I have worn Gel Cumulus for years. Did not like the 19 model. I felt it came up higher on my ankle bone than other models and the small toe box made it very uncomfortable. Hope they improve on the Cumulus 20 because this is my go to favorite Asics

After many years of running in Asics, this is the first time I have been disappointed in the cumulus line. I have had these for three weeks now and have around 100 miles on them. At the end of the run I have a small hot spot on top of the center of my foot. The heel cup seems more narrow than previous years. Probably the most annoying issue is the way the shoe impacts the ground. It sounds like I'm running flat footed. The shoes make the slap of cheap plastic hitting the ground. It seems there is very little curve to the sole. All in all I'm just not impressed with this model. Hopefully they will fix this shoe.

I have worn Gel Cumulus forever but the 18 and19 styles have changed. The toe box is much narrower and the shoe in general runs small. Be sure to try it before you buy it. Kind of like the 14 or 15 (can't remember which) that was also a bad year. No longer my go to running shoe. Looks like I'll have to buy up all the 16 & 17 styles I can find.

These shoes are garbage, my heels hurt when ever I wear them. This is the first and last time I will buy Asics. Stay away from Asics, there are far better shoe company's out there.

I have run for years in the ASICS Nimbus 17. They were the most comfortable, best fitting, long lasting shoe ever. But, now Nimbus 17 can't be found - we are on to the Nimbus 21 this year. So, I had to buy what I could find. The Nimbus 19 was the closest to 17 that I could get my hands (actually feet) on. I am very, very disappointed. 1. The soft, cloud like insole and cushiony feel to the foot is gone. Now they are hard and stiff. Even after 3 months of running in them 20 to 25 miles a week. 2. The sizing and fit is way, way different. They are shorter, narrower, and tighter making them quite uncomfortable. 3. They feel stiff, hard and don't absorb much of the shock as my feet hit the ground in them. So, ASICS - I am very, very disappointed that I am stuck with a pair of bad shoes until I can afford to replace them. I do not recommend these shoes at all.

These are super comfortable and pretty! However, after a few wears I have noticed that they ripped on the sides. It's especially upsetting as I only wear them to the gym. I have purchased asics before and never had this issue. I had a family member purchase at the same, the same style, but different color and they are perfectly fine.

I've run in Asics gel cumulus shoes most of my adult life. I chose the cumulus for the great arch support. The 19's feel as though there is NO arch support at all. Very disappointed. The hunt begins for a new running shoe....

I have purchased Cumulus shoes for a number of years prior to the 19 with great fit and comfort. The first time I wore these 19's for a walk, the top portion of my big toenail seperated from the side of my toe bed, clear evidence of the very narrow toe box. Any time I tried to wear them again, both big toes are sore afterwards.
Many reviews state the narrow toe box, but I thought they were exceptions with perhaps wider feet. I have never required wide sizing of any shoe. Why this dramatic change in design would be implemented is incomprehensible and a disservice to repeat Asics customers.
