So - I developed plantar fasciitis recently in my left heel. I have high arches, usually am barefoot in the house and wear Havaniana flip flops or designer thong sandals when outside. So of course the lack of arch support caught up with me. I really hate close toe shoes and wanted a thong sandal with arch support to wear in the house and when running errands. I also wanted a sandal that did not look like an old lady orthopedic shoe. Per my research I discovered SAS Sanibel. Although a little on the crunchy granola, I thought they looked stylish enough. The ones I selected have real leather uppers, are easy on and off, have an adjustable cross strap, and are light weight. All goodness. So I read all the rave reviews and wish I could join in - but I am not as happy with the sandal as many others. The footbed is for sure comfortably cushioned. Unfortunately I found the arch support is barely moderate. I wish the shoe was more supportive than it is. My heel still hurts when I wear them but not as much - and definitely not as much from my Havanianas - which are the reason I developed plantar fasciitis in the first place. Net I am some what disappointed in the SAS Sanibel - my reason for 3 stars - but I do plan to keep them while I continue my search.

Dawn color should look like Dawn. I've never seen a beige dawn. Would love to see more feminine natural colors in sandals like blush pink/peach.

These sandals only come in M width, but have a strap with a buckle which can be tightened for a narrow foot. I could not get this tight enough for my narrow feet, so returned them.

I really appreciated the comfort and support this shoe provided. I like how it stayed on my foot and that there was a velcro strap to help with that. I had been told it felt like a cloud and it really was that comfortable. However, my feet are an odd size and even though it fit in length wise and it didn't slip off my heel it pinched my toes on the side. I would say that is user error more that the shoe error.

The DAWN-color appeared to be a blush color, but turned out to be boring beige. Otherwise I love the fit of this style.

I have purchased many SAS shoes while in Florida as they are the only place I have found comfortable size 4 sandals. Not being able to go there this year, I bought on line. All my other SAS sandals are a 4. These I bought in a 41/2 and the straps cannot buckle comfortably. I do have a wide foot but all my other sandals have been great. Hopefully I can find a way to fix them. I also have had SAS running shoes and walking shoes but in a 5. Can't really select the next sizing question. The shoe is not too small. I just needed longer straps

This shoe was too wide for my foot and looked even wider than it felt. The quality was great. It just didn't meet my needs but I'm sure it would be great for someone with a wider foot.

SAS has sent me a shipping label to return them. The have a tongue like a tennis shoe that comes up your foot. It slant way to one side and is uncomfortable. No way to adjust the tongue that is the way it is made. The adjustable straps were awkward to use as well.

I love the sandal, however the wide toe strap rubs my toes and is very uncomfortable. I would have rubbed blisters on my feet after a very short time. Otherwise, the footbed of the sandal is very comfortable and I wish I could keep them. They must go back and the search for a silver metallic sandal that I can wear with casual slacks will continue.

The leather above the toe was very stiff. if you are standing still shoe feels fine. when you walk i imagine a blister very quickly. Other others were not as stiff

This fit fine (length and width) but I thought the foot bed would softer after I read the reviews. It's a little firmer than I'd like (I don't have much padding in the metatarsal area) so sadly I am sending these back. I plan to try the Hoka One One sandal.

Comfortable. Fits easily. The strap on the left clasp is not sown properly. It looks torn and may tear apart.

I was looking forward to loving these. I got the silver/blue. When I received them I just don't think they looked like $160 sandals. They didn't look like leather. They felt comfortable for the short time I tried them on, but I had to loosen the buckle on the top strap and this skewed the center strap off center. It would have bothered me seeing "crooked" even time I looked down at my feet. So back they go.

I wear a slim or narrow, but with the adjustable strap I can make it fit. Why 3 stars?? Because it only comes in funky colors!!! I have the caramel and would own several pair if it came in other colors of plain leather.

I would love to order these shoes again-great fit for my swollen feet had two pair for 8-9 years and the thong wore out. they used to make them in extra wide but no more-Please bring the extra wide back. I bet I not the only one out there with the same problem. I can not find any other shoe like these, I am heart broken.

I liked the shoe. It was very comfortable for the bottom of the feet. But the leather strap top piece, right at the part between your toes, was stiff, stuck out and irritated my feet. As much as I wanted these to work out, I had to send them back.

These are super cute on the foot, but I still have to wear a compression sleeve on my arch for foot pain to wear these unfortunatley. I have a problematic right foot and can't seem to wear anything like a flip flop.I already wore them outside before I realized they would cause pain after an hour or so..so now, I wear the sleeve which is not so cute!

I wanted to love these sandals! The fit was wrong for me. I wear a 10 and I'd say these were true to size (?!) but.... I could NOT adjust them. I have narrow normal feet and I just couldnt get the buckle over the top of my foot to be a comfortable snuggness. I wear flip flops a lot, however, the darling and decorative leather piece between your toes was very large. I could feel that every time I took a step, and it was uncomfortable. Back they go.

The straps across my foot were very stiff and uncomfortable. I returned them. It was disappointing because I had previously had SAS sandals I loved right out of the box and wore for years.

The footbed is very comfortable but the buckle tab section above the toe pushes forward every time you walk and digs into the big toe. I tried adjusting the buckles to give it more space but it didn't help.
