I've been an SAS customer for 15+ years after my police officer brother recommended them to me. Working long days and nights on hospital floors I put on a lot of miles. The SAS shoes are consistently comfortable. I've tried less expensive alternatives to my own it regret; I always come back to SAS. I keep two pair in my closet, alternate them daily, and wear them out. Great Product!

Had to order a half size larger in order for the shoe to be wide enough. Not great on style but at least more comfortable than most dress shoes in other brands. Comfortable width is the problem with dress shoes that are dressier... so these are a compromise to be dressy enough without the pain of a narrow width.

I just replaced my original SAS Ambassador, lace-up Oxford's a month ago after getting 7 years of use out of the original pair. I basically wore my first pair of SAS Oxfords 5 days a week for 8 to 12 hours a day in a factory setting. Even after seven years of wear and tear, the Oxford's are still in decent shape. I would have to say that even with all of the daily walking I do, these have been the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. A little pricey however worth the investment!

Ambassador 8.5W. Beautiful shoes, but not a good fit for my high instep foot. The tongue pressed against the top part of my foot. I tried it as an alternative to the SAS Bout Time in 8.5W, which was too lose in the front area. I am now going to try Bout Time in 8.5M, and hope it isn't too tight.

This is the only place I have found that had half sizes in the larger shoes. I would think it would be a good selling point that SAS shoes are made in the USA. Is there a way to search your site for all size 15.5 shoes? Note also that I needed to replace the "moderate arch support" with a highter arch (i.e Dr. Scholls), since I have flat feet. These are all inserts, so wonder if I could have specified the type of arch support with the order.

Any others that rub in my size (15.5), or size 15's that "run long."

First time owning the SAS brand after wearing Ecco for many years. (Unfortunately, as with most brands that were once great, Ecco's price stayed the same, but I felt they started to slip in quality and comfort.) With these, I ordered an 11 and needed to return for a half size smaller. Just part of the process of ordering a new brand, I suppose. The wide is a good fit for my needs. I hate to say it, but most SAS shoes aren't the most stylish (they often look way too orthopedic), but the brand seems to be working on that with some of their recent offerings. So, will I win any fashion contests around the office with these? No. But, they're not bad and if they continue to feel as comfortable as the day I put them on, I'll sacrifice one for the other. I'm on my feet A LOT and can only describe it as walking on marshmallows... They appear to be constructed well and the soft leather feels like it won't take much time, if any, to break them in.

4 stars on looks and quality, but I returned them after trying them on. Width WW (the widest offered) was narrower than the WW 'Bout- time model. SAS should offer a greater selection of wide shoes.

The shoes are comfortable, but there is a noticeable squishy sound I walk in them. My wife notices it too. Maybe it will quiet down with use.

I was buying these for my 90 year old father. Walking is becoming more difficult, so I'm looking for shoes that look like dress shoes, but feel and function like walking shoes. These look very "orthopedic" and seem well made, but even the Narrow is quite wide.

I'd like to wear it but sizing is nowhere near accurate. That means I bear the cost and delay of shipping a return. And I'm left to guess what the correct sizing should be. I'm consistently a European 48 wide and I've worn SAS 14W in the SAS "Guardian" style. But where the Guardian is barely big enough, the Ambassador 14W is way too long. My big toe is two inches from the front and I can insert my index finger behind my heel. Whether to exchange for a 13.5 or even a 13, I'm not sure. If Customer Service can't guide my I may have to abandon this shoe altogether. At $300 with tax and shipping, this experience has been a real bummer.

I was looking into some quality dress shoes that would be comfortable walking in for over 8 hours a day as that is what my job dictates. I had heard and read good things about the shoes and maybe it's just my foot specifically but my feet have only become more worse after wearing these shoes. The shoes are very comfortable on my feet they are the perfect size but after walking in them the comfort goes away rather quickly. It's unfortunate as these shoes are pricey and I was willing to spend the money for better walking comfort but my investment has gone to waste as I will no longer be wearing these shoes.

I used to love SAS shoes. The Ambassador shoe was the most comfortable dress shoe for wearing and walking in the DC area. I purchased a new pair a few days ago and while they still look great they are not comfortable at all. I have owned four pairs in the past and they were like walking on clouds but this new pair has a terribly stiff sole and was giving me leg cramps after just two days of wearing them.

Shoes feel fine. They aren't amazing, but they are fine. The MAJOR problem is that they squeak when you walk. I can't walk across a polished floor without a squeak with every step. I thought it would go away once I wore them a few times. It never did. Now I'm stuck with expensive shoes that I can't wear.
