Initial reaction was very favorable, but after an indoor trial the collar put too much pressure on the ankle bone.

Overall liked shoes. They fit well, no discomfort anywhere, but found the shank / sole too stiff and hard for my needs. Had not tried SAS sneakers before and they were too much like the SAS "orthopedic" shoes in their feel. Was looking for something more supple and flexible. Didn't find them worth that price point for my needs. Suede on toes looked like this pair had been returned a time or two though no signs of outdoor wear.

These are great shoes. Good support and comfort. The only problem I had with my previous pair is that the mesh on top was falling apart after several months.

My husband wears a 9W shoe. He needs the wide primarily because he has a high instep. I first ordered this shoe in his size but the velcro straps didn't loop over far enough to catch on the opposite side. I figured a 9WW might do the trick but the same problem occurred. I don't understand why the velco "catch" side can't be sewn in nearer the hook side. The shoe is great looking and seemingly comfortable but I've given up on it for my husband.

Well made shoe that fit well but had very little arch support.

A really good shoe, and I appreciate the style and the velcro strap closures. I even bought a second one in case the style runs out. One criticism: the sole seems to wear out very quickly indeed.

I purchased the SAS velcro closure sneakers since he was having difficulty with tying his laces. He has been wearing New Balance 990 forever. SAS appears to be cut larger compared to the same size in New Balance. He exchanged for a half size smaller and tells me it is still a bit large. He didn't want to try a smaller width and is keeping the second pair as is.

Best fit i have had in years

I've had these walking shoes for three months. They already feel like they are worn out. It is not from me walking miles and miles. There is still plenty of tread on the sole and the uppers are in great shape. It feels like the foot bed, not the insole, elastomer has lost it's elasticity and resilience. I like SAS shoes but if they are going to break down like a cheap pair from Payless what it the point of paying a premium price.

Very stiff shoes. Some fittings presses hard on bones and if you have arthritis, it huurrrrtttts!

Size was ok. The width was off and could not wear comfortly. Tried to make them work but width and closure restricted my feet. Almost fell.

rubbed a blister on top of foot. Only wore in house for an afternoon. Seems to be defect in shoe. Shoe did not seem to be new

The tabs are not long enough to connect to the other side. I have to force the connection, and as soon as I walk, they pop open. These should are great and are beautiful, but they need longer tabs.

These SAS BLACK SHOES appeared identical to my husband's present SAS shoes and they are completely made of BLACK LEATHER. He would never wear "mesh". I fo some reason thought JV Mesh was the name of the shoe.
