These are not really boat shoes. They look like boat shoes but do not have a gripping bottom and will slide across the deck. The mens version have boat shoe bottoms so why not the women's version? Go figure.

My first time trying SAS shoes and I found these shoes to run small. I usually wear 10.5-11 but these felt like a size 10. My toes were pressing on the top of the shoe, no wiggle room. Had to return them.

I love this SAS Catalina shoe - it is so pretty! A retro moccasin. Very soft leather, and a slender look. I have a thin foot and it fits perfectly. No gaping anywhere. Alas, it does not have as much cushioning in the footbed as I need so am returning. This shoe is slender and if you have a full foot order the wider size. I ordered 8 M and it is more in the line of a narrow. I would have ordered a narrow had it been available. I really appreciate Zappos’ free shipping and returns even though their prices are the same as you find in stores.

I have been looking for leather boat shoes that have adequate support for teaching all day. These seem to be made well and have moderate arch support (more than most boat shoes). Alas, the wide is not wide enough for my feet, so they have to go back. Wish they came in a double wide.

Just recently found these SAS boat shoes on Zappos.....absolutely love them. So incredibly comfortable and great support. The wide fit is perfect for me, as well as the arch support. Love the sandstone color. Once again, SAS and Zappos provide an awesome buying experience!

I bought these SAS Catalina deck shoes because I like leather shoes much better than synthetic, especially since all the synthetic shoes have synthetic lining, so if you like wearing your deck shoes (or any shoes) without socks, the synthetic linings stink big-time in short order. I ordered a size 7 1/2 W. My feet are reasonably wide but not wide, wide. The width is O.K. but not any too big. I will wear the shoes on short trips so that the leather in the area of my little piggy can stretch a bit. The length was fine. I have a slightly longer second toe, which sometimes means I have to go up a size, but not so in this instance. However my one beef is I really would like to see more shoe manufacturers start to make shoes with a toe box shaped like the human foot. Merrell does this well with some of their shoes, but alas, not in a leather shoe with leather linings. It would be great if an American company, like the one who manufacturers this Catalina shoe would start doing that. Otherwise I have to say the leather in this shoe is buttery soft and the shoe is well made. I thought I might remove the insole, but the shoe does not fit as well with the insole removed. The top of the insole is fabric, perhaps cotton or a cotton/polyester blend, so hopefully there will not be an odor problem. I think if you like to wear socks you would need a half size up. Another reviewer said the shoe was slippery on a wet deck. I haven't tried it yet, but I can see that it may well be. The soles are not siped and the sole material has a slippery sort of finish. The traction seems fine on dry pavement, though. The shoe is very nice looking and the leather is really nice.

These run slightly larger than normal but when removing the thick insole, my custom orthotics fit perfectly in them. As these have minimal support that's important for me. Can't wait to enjoy them this summer.

I really wanted to keep these shoes. I have been looking for some comfortable shoes to wear with my jeans other than my running shoes. However, these just didn’t have enough support for me. The soles are very flexible and therefore they did not provide arch support, even when I tried adding my own. The soft leather felt nice, but this is more of a moccasin construction so again, no support.

Great shoes, but they were too small for me. I usually wear a 10, sometimes a 10.5 in an athletic shoe. The size 10.5 was too small. I'm sending them back and exchanging for size 11.

Found this shoe to run extremely short. Loved the style and quality of the leather but needed it larger than a size 12.

SAS shoes (made in the good ole USA!!) are the best, albeit fairly pricey... but if you have arthritic, narrow, problematic feet such as I, they're worth it for the comfort and fit!! This pair of boat-type shoes (listed as "sneakers") only came in Medium width and I normally wear an 8N, but some reviews said they felt " more narrow" so I took a chance and ordered 8M. They really are on the narrow side and fit beautifully, either barefoot or with a thin sock. In the past I've also purchased SAS shoes -- 2 pairs of "Sunny" which are sooo comfortable and a pair of "Simplify", a plain loafer. All are well made of soft, quality leather and the sizing is always consistent.

Great quality from Spain! Wonderful leather, comfy fit. I just slipped them on and started walking in them. Size 7.5 medium fit my 6.5 slightly wide feet, so size up just a bit.

The leather on these is gorgeous and soft. The size and the wide width were as expected. I use orthotic insoles for more arch support in all my shoes since I have really high arches. These were somewhat comfy with the insole that came in them and they are super comfy with my high arch insoles in them. The soles are not supportive enough for a long walk but that is not what I can expect with my feet (I have post-surgery feet and can only walk in Hoka's or hiking boots). These are great for going out when I want to wear something cuter and walk less than 1/2 mile. It's soooo nice to have a stylish shoe in a wide width that my insoles fit into!

Purchased for my sister. She loves them and we are proud to purchase shoes made in the USA! Great quality and comfort!

WOW!! ~ These are winners for sure! I have one lousy foot, the right one, that has SO many problems. These shoes felt great right out of the box, my bad foot has yet to complain. Buttery soft leather and cushioned just right. The fit is perfect too, I wear a 9M usually but I went for the wide width this time ~ so glad I did, gives my bunion room to breathe. ~Been looking for years and years for a deck shoe like this one! ~Thank you to Zappos for the outstanding customer service.
