wow are these soft. They are expensive because they are made very well, with much technology built into them.. right out of the box i can tell that i can wear them right away with no worries. I am a flight attendant who recently is being forced out of her typical dansko clogs due to a new uniform... finding a shoe has been very difficult for me. This shoe, does seem to be a little bit big on the heal because they are an 8W but the mary jane strap is what keeps it on. During flight and after 8+ hours in them, i expect my feet to swell... The smart design underneath the buckle, where it stretches is exactly whats needed in all mary jane style shoes... This shoe is a keeper..I do feel like an old lady in them, but I also felt like a dud in my dasnkos...my friends make fun of me...but at the end of the day, i rather not have my feet hurting and dreading the next day.. This was a great find.. I truly hope that this Shoe company, SAS can make more attractive shoes in the future.

I ordered wide to accommodate my forefoot, but the heel is too wide and I walk out of the shoes.

Perfect fit. Removable insert for my own orthopedic. I had been wearing the SAS Liberty lace up for my job as flight attendant and I wanted a more femine stylish yet comfortable show...this is them. Fabulous brand!

These are the best! I wear a 9.5 narrow or slim, and these felt perfectly comfortable from day 1. I especially like that SAS come in both narrow and slim. I get compliments on how dressy they are for flat shoes.

With my orthodic, I found the toes narrow (too pointed) and the toe box a bit stiff when flexed. My size- 7 Med. Otherwise, it was very comfortable, slightly more comfortable than the shoes I kept. The inner rim was soft and smooth. A very well-made shoe. If my toes weren't so boxy, would have chosen these shoes. Nice looking.

I love the look and feel of these shoes. The quality of the leather is outstanding and the style in black is classic and elegant. I tried on size 10.5 W and my heels kept coming out of the backs when walking. I tried putting heel pads and a metatarsal pad in them to make them more snug, but the heel kept coming out. I need a wide toe box but my heels are on the normal to narrow side. I am thinking of ordering the 10WW to see if that combination will work better. I was looking forward to wearing these as a performer at a musical event this week, but will have to resort to my old shoes for now.

Well made and attractive. The only reason I am returning these: the fit wasn't perfect for me. I need a shoe for a lot of walking on a garden tour vacation. I purchased two sizes: 11.5 M and 12 N. The 11.5 M was a good length, but my heel slipped out. I tightened the strap so my heel wouldn't slip, but then I was concerned that the strap across the top would rub. (I have a high arch.) The 12 N worked lengthwise, and my heel didn't slip, but the width in front across the ball of my foot was too tight. I think this is a great shoe, but not for my foot and my walking tour, I ended up going with Propet Hazel, an Oxford that is comfortable for walking and will work for evenings in restaurants.

Very nice show but compared to SAS Free Time oxford in the SAME size and width longer and narrower, and not enough depth in the show to put my Rx orthotics. My orthotics fit perfectly into the Free Time shoe. So, this needs to be returned, sadly.

Very tight across the top of foot, toes felt cramped

For most people, this would be an excellent shoe. For some reason, my feet ached after wearing them for just a few minutes. I have multiple foot issues, so I’m not blaming the shoe. I will return them.

Beautiful but too narrow. W is still too narrow.

I originally went by reviews and went up a half size to an 11W, but I walked right out of them. I exchanged for my usual 10.5W, and while they fit and I'm keeping them, I anticipate them needing some breaking in. The toe box feels narrower than my other SAS wide shoes (I have a few pairs now, all from Zappos), but if I were to exchange for a WW I think the heel would be WAY too wide, as it's already slipping a bit. Barefoot these will hurt a bit, but the leather is gorgeous and high quality so I do imagine they'll stretch in the toes a bit. They look so good that I'm keeping them - I'm convinced I'll break them in and they'll be wonderful once I get there. They're surprisingly NOT old-ladyish (I'm 40 and try to wear a good mix of cute+comfy). If I get them broken in properly, these will go with anything - dresses, pants, jeans, etc.

The SAS Maria is a cute shoe, and it fit true to size. The sole is narrow, however, and doesn't offer stability as you walk. For that reason, I am returning.

Beautifully made shoe. They were a little narrow for me even though they were a wide.

I have very wide feet and have very few options but these shoes were a rare dress shoe that I could find in an extra wide. I think it runs a little big. I’m normally a 10.5 (sometimes even an 11) and the 10 feels even a little long. The width still isn’t quite what a need but I’ll take it! It’s the most comfortable dress shoe I’ve found. Not super comfortable for me yet, but I’m hoping I can break them in.
