They seem comfortable but I haven't worn them yet. To tell.

The fit isn't as roomy in the toe area. Not nearly cushiony enough in the soles (I can feel the ground through the sole). I have quite a bit of heel slippage as I walk in these. I tried lacing them a little differently so that the heels wouldn't slip, but I ended up lacing they too tightly, which was very uncomfortable. Not up to your usual SAS standards, I'm afraid. The heel area doesn't cup around my heel so the fit seems off.

I prefer leather loafers, like Free Time. Live and learn-new style is too spongy for me!

This is one of the most comfortable fitting pair of shoes I've ever had. But I've had a couple of problems with them. I had to replace the laces because the laces that came with it were too waxy and would come untied within minutes after I started walking. I replaced them with stretchy, non-tying laces and they have worked wonderfully to keep the fit consistent on my feet that swell from time to time. Also, the tongues work their way to the sides. Normally, this would be controlled by feeding the laces through a slit in the tongue. The slit is there, but is too superficial to feed the laces through it. Usually, this is just a bit of an eyesore. But when my feet are swell, the edge of the tongue rests on and hurts one of the bones on the top of my foot. I suppose I could cut it the rest of the way through myself. But I fear that I would ruin the shoe. Regardless of these two issues, I have worn these shoes for 2 years because of the perfect fit. It's time for a new pair. I think I will try a different shoe this time. Hopefully, I will find the same perfect fit but in a shoe that looks nice on my foot and stays tied.

I bought these lovely looking shoes for general wear, for their overall quality and variety of widths, and because they are made in USA, as opposed to overseas. I really like them, but found them a bit difficult to put on, and though I purchased double-wide width, the shoes still seemed to crunch and cause soreness in my usually "good" foot! I also find the shoes are a bit heavy, but I have been used to more cheaply made, lighter weight shoes, so will get used to the heavier-weight soles. I do appreciate the quality, and love the extra pair of shoe laces included in the price. A tab at the back added for pulling them on would make the task easier, please. My rating would have been 4 stars if they hadn't hurt my foot at first wearing.

These are attractive sneaker like shoes in a color I love. But they run longer and narrower than I need. Since the WW is too tight I must return them.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, Propet

SAS should stick to slip on walking/working shoes. These have no real arch support and athletic "give". Very flat.
I'd also recommend:
Asics and Natural Balance for narrow tennis shoes

I was surprised that these shoes seem to be narrower than expected. Although they are marked as a size wide- the toe box is not wide at all. I wondered if they were mis-labeled. Hence they are too narrow for my feet I need to return them

Very uncomfortable. The material is very stiff and felt narrow (and longer than most shoes). These would be very uncomfortable to break in before (if at all) I could wear these on a daily basis. So, I decided to just return these rather than go through the discomfort trying.

I were SAS black leather sneakers everyday to work I walk 7-11 miles a day in them. I wear an 8.5 in them so I was a little disappointed when I ordered an 8.5 in these shoes and they are way smaller. And of course they are final sale.

Shoe is longer than other size brands' 9.5, nor is WW a 2E, as it is with most brands. Unfortunately this was a final, so I cannot return them. The shoe appears to be well made and a cross between an athletic and a sturdy oxford.

The tongues are too short. The laces rings dig into my ankle. The toe box is much smaller than my journeys. The sole is hard. I'd return them if shipping wasn't so ridiculous.

I only buy SAS shoes and have several of the walking/athletic styles. These particular shoes, the Sporty, are a huge disappointment. I got these during the April Fool's sale at an incredibly good price (70% off, which is why I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1). The quality of these shoes compared to all the others I own is truly lacking: - I have pairs of Tour, Walk Easy (the best shoe ever made IMHO), Viva, and Free Time all in the same size as this Sporty and this Sporty is a good half inch longer than all of them (while being the same width). So these are just sized weirdly - too long. - The tongue, however, is WAY too short. It doesn't even come up to the edge of the shoe's collar so the metal rings that hold the laces dig into my foot. (!) Someone else mentioned this too - it is true so beware! - The tongue also has slits to slip the laces into to hold it in place - and the slits are useless. There is no way to get the laces in between the upper and inner layers of the tongue. The two layers are glued together. So there are slits in the tongue for no purpose whatsoever. - There is no padding (or stabilizer) around the collar or between the main body and inner lining, and the shoe offers little stability for the foot in terms of rolling, unlike the other shoes. - The leather is thinner than usual and parts I swear are plastic, not leather. I can live with most of this just wearing them around the house but I wouldn't wear these on a long walk and certainly not on a run. (The short tongue/lacing ring exposure is annoying even just kicking around the house with these. Time will tell if I can get used to that.) What concerns me is that these are a newer style than my other SAS shoes and I worry that SAS has decided to go cheap instead of maintaining its overall quality. I don't have any other newer styles to know if this is a trend or just a one-off mistake. **In any case, no way would I pay full price for these shoes.**

These Shoes look nice but are horrible for walking and standing. I was not pleased at all. I have been buying SAS shoes for many, many years and these displeased me greatly. They fail to meet the SAS quality of comfort that I have grown accustomed to.

I use these shoes to go to the gym and go walking. I like the shoes because they are lightweight and we're really soft and comfy on the bottom of my feet. The big drawback of these shoes are the tongue is too short so the body of the shoe and the rings that carry the shoelaces rub on the top of my foot. I'm disappointed because I've worn SAS Freetime for 30 years and have always just stepped in and worn those without any pressure points. I love SAS shoes but I would not recommend these.

I'm so disappointed. I was hoping these would be my answer but they were too tight in the arch I'm virtually flat footed so this is very odd, way too lose in the heel and just plain ugly! I need a practical shoe that's comfortable very narrow and presentable. THESE ARE NOT IT! Stiff. Sole very hard, no heel support and very clunky. My husband nearly gagged when I put them on.

I was excited about this shoe...I was hoping for comfort as I have problem feet. This shoe was unforgiving...I tried walking in the house on the rug and my feet hurt immediately..I tried walking on tile then on cement....no relief at all...they are very pricey and I knew that they weren't going to become a comfortable shoe, so back they went!
