My wife wears these shoes 2 miles a day walking our dog on pavement, the soles have worn down considerably in more years than I can remember with no evidence of the sole wearing thru. These shoes I guess are at least 10 yrs. old with no real signs of wear other than the soles and they aren't worn out and are still just as comfortable as new. These new shoes are identical to the current pair, no changes in construction noticeable and still made in U.S.A. not in some sleazy foreign country!! Thanks SAS and Zappos.

Not much to look at, but could walk all day! I live in PT, and have Orthotics, and these shoes make my feet feel 16 again! Wish it came in MORE COLORS -Please! :)

I just love SAS shoes! I am so glad that Zappos carries them now because the closest SAS Comfort Shoe Store is an hour away from me so I can't get there when I'd like to. SAS makes quality shoes that fit properly and comfortably. I did not keep the shoes because the came up too high around my ankles. But the materials and workmanship are very impressive. Soft leather and a very nice inner foot bed. I have been an SAS customer for many years going back to the early '90s. I highly recommend SAS shoes to anyone looking for a made-in-the USA quality shoe. They are worth the price.

I am grateful that Zappos carries SAS shoes. It is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and they are made in the USA. The Zappos customer service is excellent. I had to return a pair I originally ordered due to size, not quality, not being right and they made it so simple and free! Customer service was friendly and very helpful, taking their time to explain everything to me. The entire experience was a pleasure and I love my SAS shoes!

These do fit with orthotics, but 10.5 length was slipping off even with orthotics. Double Wide allowed enough room, but were still too big! I'm trying to be practical for comfort purposes. These can barely be hidden with long pants or jeans, OK, if you gave up on style because of pain.

This shoe is true to fit and width. A nice surprise :) The slight tapering at toe was not a good fit for my foot. I like a lot of room in the toe box. Plus the wine color looked more of a brown to me. I liked that the shoe is good and sturdy and well made.

This is a well-made shoe, but I returned it for two reasons. First, I found the sole didn't have adequate traction. It just slid across the tile floor in my kitchen and across my carpeted living room. I live in western Washington state, and we have too many wet sidewalks on hills for me to feel comfortable wearing these shoes. Other reviewers have commented on this. I love SAS shoes, but this was not the right one for me.

The width was great but they are sadly, too short for my foot. They are well padded inside and if the length had been good, I would have been very happy with them. Unfortunately, I'll have to return them.

Got antique wine color. It is lovely. Shoes are comfortable right out of the box and not too tight with heavy socks either . Not exactly dressy, but look good as wslk No shoes.

I have trouble finding comfortable shoes, but these are very comfortable. In fact, I've been wearing them for many years and had been trying to find a replacement for the ones I'd been wearing for twelve years. SAS used to call them "Siesta," but when I ordered them by that name, they turned out to be different from the original ones. Therefore, I was thrilled to realize that SAS still makes those shoes, but now they call them "Take Time."

Leather, stitching, and color were beautiful; fit was excellent. Good deep, wide toe area to accommodate my foot problems (bunion, hammer toes). Unfortunately, I very reluctantly returned the shoes because the moccasin construction felt too "soft" for my feet, which need a little more structure for greater stability. But a very nice, very attractive, very comfortable shoe!

Comfortable and good support true to size. Handsome shoe.

Mom loves these shoes. very comfortable, but wishes they came in more colors.
