I used to work on my feet all day. I got these because they came in wide sizes and were the timeless SAS look. I got a 10WW. My foot was comfortable at first, but because the heel is so high, my feet sort of slid to the toe box of the shoe. And again since the heel/wedge part is so high, it can almost feel like wearing heels in the sense that my calves and lower back were sore at the end of the day. I think this shoe would work if you have heel problems or some other foot specification. I love the look and these were my first pair of SAS. When you slip your foot in, it's very soft and supple, but just beware of the highness of the heel. Most SAS don't have much of a "break in" period, but I would say this pair does, just to get used to the height.

I think if I had tried a couple more sizes I could have found a fit in these, and they really do seem like great quality. Unfortunately the style is really not for me. I bought three pairs of SAS shoes at once to try and ended up keeping the pair called Metro, because they look better and fit better overall. My sizing is difficult and I can range anywhere from a 10W to an 11W or WW (sometimes even 11M, it really just depends on the shoe) but when I can find a 10.5 W or WW it's usually the winner. In this case they were just a smidge too big, and I could tell they would rub uncomfortably on my heel. I did like the bit of added height on these but I wasn't a fan of the thick laces (which looked thinner/less noticeable in the picture). The leather is gorgeous though and the footbed feels great - I recommend these for others, just not for me.

I had high hopes for this shoe, but it was too narrow across the transverse arch and muchtoo wide in the heel. I will return for wider size, even tho I have never worn wide in my life -- always medium.

I really appreciated the comfort and support this shoe provided. I like how it stayed on my foot and that there was a velcro strap to help with that. I had been told it felt like a cloud and it really was that comfortable. However, my feet are an odd size and even though it fit in length wise and it didn't slip off my heel it pinched my toes on the side. I would say that is user error more that the shoe error.

I have worn SAS 9.5 WW, almost exclusively, for years. No matter what the style, that size always fits me perfectly, so SAS is my go-to shoe for casual and work. This style was new to me, and it was extremely narrow. I could tell right away when I took it out of the box that it was too narrow. I double-checked the shoe itself for the size, thinking there must have been a mix up, but it was marked 9.5 WW. Sorry to send these back; the shoes are-nice looking and would have been perfect for work. Strange and disappointing experience!

I enjoy your products but I gave 3 stars because this kind of shoes look very nice but the silver line paint is easily pilled off. After that they don't look the same. If you provide a little bottle of touch up paint, that would be better.

This was the wrong size, 6 N, for me, I think. The interior arch padding was too far back and did not fit my arch. I have ordered another size. I liked the style as a step up from athletic shoes and more versatile.

Shiny blue casual shoes with the heel construction that hits midway up the back. This is uncomfortable as it feels somewhere between a mule and a sneaker.

I bought this shoe for work, the shoe is a good quality product. The seam is the problem for my right foot. I cannot use the shoes and cannot return them because they are worn.

The back of the shoe that fits around the heel of my foot is 1/8th inch lower than the pair I bought 3 years ago. That's enough to cause the heel of my foot to slip out with each step. I wore my first pair of SAS shoes 30 years ago. The quality of their classics seems to have gone down since the founders died.

The 51/2W is too narrow in the toe box. My heel slips in size 6 and would rub a blister. I could try to stretch the leather, but the insoles are stiff with lumps that feel like pebbles underfoot. I have never worn SAS and maybe another model like the Siesta would fit better. They look good with my pant suits, but I couldn't imagine wearing them for very long.

I bought these shoes for my mom for Mother's Day. They are stylish enough but they are labeled as double wide. They not wide at all. I had to return them.

My recent experience with your website suggests that you have the most poor customer services I have ever experienced. Between me and my wife, We have purchased 7 pairs of shoes in our life time, plus I have referred another 13 sales that you save received because I'm a physician and people often ask me about what shoes are good. I recently purchased a pair for my wife, turns out they are too narrow, even though she purchased the same width in past purchases with different models. The fact you won't even exchange them because all sales are considered final is disgraceful. The sale shoes were on the same website as your non-sale items, which you do return. It was confusing and unclear when I placed the order. I never would have ordered if I understood this. You have lost a valued customer and I will tell all my clients and friends my experience.

While these looked cute, once I received them I was extremely disappointed. I realize that these are not support type shoes, but there is no cushioning in the foot bed. It's hard to believe that these are SAS shoes!

I have been wearing SAS shoes for over 20 plus years and have always been happy with my purchases until recently. SAS shoes are not the same. I found the leather to be stiff and hard, little to no arch support and sizes do not fit the same as previous years. Shoes do not conform to feet as before. This makes me very sad because in the past I knew I could always find a good fitting pair of shoes at SAS. I do like the Nudu sandals and have four pairs which fit perfectly.

As a nurse, I wore SAS shoes for years and loved them. I find the current shoes to be much more narrow and no longer fit my foot. SAS sandals continue to be a nice fit and very comfortable.
