Customer Reviews SAS Free Time Comfort Walking Shoe

I had a pair of Free Time shoes in black/8.5W that I wore for many years, including several trips to Europe. On the last trip they felt a little tight if I walked more than a mile. This time I ordered 9WW (D). It's a better fit for my arthritic feet with bunions and tendency for plantar fasciitis. They look a little clunky and are longer than I'm used to, but I can wear thicker cushioned socks and even a firm insert if my arches get tired. I tried other cheaper shoes but it's a relief to have the sturdy support and good leather of SAS shoes. I also got them in the Denim suede, which I like a lot. That pair has a sportier look that I can wear with blue or grey jeans.

I got the denim color for my mom for Christmas. She loves the color and has told me she has gotten compliments on them! She has worn this style of SAS for years, so I knew exactly what style and size to get. She has a hard time getting around, but these shoes are a big help!

The shoes fit fine and are extremely nice looking. I have a high arch and don't like athletic shoes but winter was here and I needed something comfortable to walk in. When these arrived I wore them around the house for a day and seriously considered keeping them. Then decided I needed winter boots more. I tried some that did not work. I wore these once again for a few hours and although they fit, I do not like athletic shoes, they don't ever feel comfortable on my foot. So I am returning them. For someone who is looking for an athletic shoe, these are great.

Additional comment: I bought these for my mom in two colors. The navy is a classic color. The bronze pair was a pleasant surprise. Bronze makes the shoe more fashionable. She loved both!
