Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I buy a new pair every year. I get tired of always wearing black. I wish they came in brown or antique walnut.

I have worn VTO's for a few years now. I do extensive walking and I'm wearing this shoe a minimum of 5 days a week 10 hours a day. I'm on my feet so much that I've needed to change out the shoe about every 10-11 months. Mind you, the shoe does not come apart, my arches are week and my feet are wide. I just need the full support I had on day one. I would have never thought paying this much for a pair of shoes would be worth it. It's more than worth it. There's nothing else that comes close to it. These are extremely comfortable. When I need or want a tennis shoe, I just pick up my other SAS shoes - Journey Mesh.

Fits well and is very comfortable. Having the velcro straps makes this slip-on far more secure than shoes without.

Although the shoes arrived later than I had expected, once I put them on it was love at first wearing. No break in period needed. Just put them on and enjoy. It's very hard to wear ordinary shoes, the VTO is do addicting. The quality is superband could not find even a tiny flaw.

I've had a pair of VTOs for a few years now. They're fantastic. Every bit as comfortable as my Navigators (which I could have sworn were called "Side Gore" when I bought them). Actually they're more comfortable, because they have no heel slip. The hook-and-loop closure is a very welcome addition, since it works great and is fast and easy, especially for those of us with bad backs who need to minimize the amount of time spent hunched over. I think it's ridiculous that some people shun this style, in preference to shoelaces that are less convenient, wear out, and give you something to trip over. These must be the same people who senselessly prefer corked wine bottles over those with screw-off tops. Not long ago, I was on a trip and spent several days in an absolutely huge hotel, doing much more walking than usual. The VTOs were great, and my plantar fasciitis did not bother me at all until I switched to other shoes.

Everything was fine except for one crucial detail. The velcro straps are too short to securely close the shoe for a person with swollen feet like me.

I have always liked the fit and comfort of SAS shoes. Unfortunately, I am now using custom orthotics for a foot condition, and I could not get these on my feet with the orthotics. The toe box is not deep enough to accommodate the thickness of the orthotic.

I thought that SAS was gone. Ive gotten shoes from their stores 30 years ago. I was delighted to find them on Amzon. Perfect fit.

I needed a pair of semi dress shoes for a wedding. These looked like a good choice, plus they are diabetic approved. The only question I have is why is the tongue strapped to one side of the shoe? It is a stretch material, but it actually makes it more difficult to get the tongue centered when putting on the shoes. In all the hundreds of shoes I wore over my 73 years, this is the first with a tongue attached with stretch fabric to the sides. I might just cut this loose to make getting into the shoes easier.

These are BEAUTIFUL shoes ... unfortunately, I need to return. My husband is a stroke survivor with his right side affected. He has difficulty lifting his right leg/foot. With his AFO (ankle foot brace) we needed shoes with provided good support AND afforded him the ability to put them on by himself if necessary. We felt the velcro straps plus the support of SAS shoes would be the answer. They fit beautifully BUT they were too "heavy" for him to lift his foot and move safely (he's able to walk short distances). SAS makes GREAT shoes ... I wear them myself. Wish they had worked out for him.

Husband loves the way the shoes feel and the wide toe box. He wishes, however, they had less of a convalescent look and more of a professional look, even if they kept the velcro straps.

Needed a different size. You cannot return to a SAS store if you order online. You also cannot return online for a different size. I waited 5 days to get response on return now I have to print label mail back and I guess wait on getting my money returned...in the mean time the person with diabetes and feet problems is waiting on his shoes, there's got be an easier way to serve customer. Product is great customer service needs updating.
