This is a good shoe, but I find it a bit stiff. It sort of has a boot quality to it, which is not exactly what I was looking for. That said, there is so much more to like than to dislike about this shoe. The fit, quality, and style are all an A plus!

My daughter complained the shoes are too tight. They look quite narrow. I will return these and order half size bigger and in wide width. She does like the shoes which will be used as school unifom requirement, otherwise she only likes pink shoes.

i purchased tie string shoes (all black) from new balance to start school year. The shoe strings shredded and did not last 1/2 the year. My son's kindergarten teacher had to tie them several times a day. I purchased these to avoid the shoe strings. I love New Balance....gave these a 4 because stitching on shoes not the neatest job. Hoping velcro holds up better than their shoe strings.

New Balance are the only shoes I wear. They fit well, and last well. I only wish they had a pair of black shoes with more cushioning for the ball of the foot.
