Backpack is perfect for carrying a 15"MacBook Pro in an Incase ICON sleeve. Fits like a glove...no wiggle room or slop. The backpack also has plent of room for multiple full sized college texts including huge ones like calculus and physics plus notebooks. Front starage area is amazing.

This is a great bag. It fit both my clothes and my wife's for a long weekend getaway. The storage space is phenomenal. The bag is also extremely comfortable and didn't hurt my back wearing it from the padding.

TNF up until yesterday had a TNF black color option available on their site. Today they have taken that option off. I've been waiting for it to become in stock and it looks like it will not be back.

Need to replace my North Face got shot bag and I was not disappointed. My previous bag was over 15 yrs old and was starting to tear at it seams. I was originally going to get the surge but they did not have the color I wanted stock. Decided to go with a slightly bigger bag in the color I wanted to match the rest of my travel bags. I have no doubt this bag will last another 15 years.

Great bag that would be perfect for travel, business, commuting or school. I have used it already on a few day trips and it had more than enough room for clothes and electronics for me and my son. Very durable, lots of pockets, I expect this will last me for many years.

I wanted make a change from the huge bulky and often over-stuffed messenger bag I have been using to a backpack. I wanted a backpack that would be comfortable to carry a full load (laptop and several books/binders/papers), look clean and mildly professional, and would be suitable to also carry on planes when traveling. I chose this one for its large capacity and tons of pockets. I absolutely love all of the pockets. I am still trying to get used to carrying a backpack again, and one that is built different from all of the other backpacks I've carried before. This pack is definitely tall and narrow. I am still learning how to stack and pack items to achieve the best carrying comfort and ease of removing and packing items back at the end of the day. Sometimes the pockets, especially the front organizational pocket, feel like black holes at the bottom where you could place something in the bottom and never find it again. But overall I do like it, I know its going to be easier on my back and better for traveling than my messenger bag. I am still learning it and breaking it in.

This backpack is a great size for someone who is larger. Has a lot of room for everything that you may need on the job or for General use. The only con that I could find is that the laptop pouch looks like it was meant for a MacBook and my 16 inch Dell does not fit in the actual pocket, but it does fit in the zip off section just fine.

I am a current medical student and this backback has been perfect for me. I have had it a year now and it still looks brand new. At first I was hesitant with the price, but you definitely get what you pay for. A ton of room and a lot of different compartments so everything is easily found. Would buy this again in a heart beat. Money well spent.

I use it daily between home and office. As well as for the occasional business trip. Love the pockets and storage. I am big on organization; a place for everything and everything in its place.

This is North Face's LARGEST computer / commuter backpack (over 40L). There is SO MUCH ROOM! I love this backpack. I often use it in place of a carry-on. Fits in the overhead or under the seat with plenty of room for weekend luggage, computer, chargers, waterbottles etc. This is my second northface backback. The first one lasted over 10 years and traveled to 3 different continents.

Use it as briefcase and day bag... still getting to know it, but it's solidly built, looks great and is easy to wear.

This bag has been great! I got it due to being on crutches and needing to replace a 10+ year old TNF backpack that was getting worn down. It will carry everything you own if you need it too. Can't wait to take it on trips to truly enjoy its versatility.

This backpack is working great for transporting my laptop and papers back and forth between work and home. It is lightweight so it doesn't add to the load I'm carrying. It has pockets for everything I can imagine!

This is my 3rd Northface bag, My first bag was the Surge, which I found to be just a bit to small for what I needed so I upgraded to the Router. I bought my first Router backpack in 2013 and have used it for work, travel, photography, It holds a lot. The one thing I complained about on my older bought bag is that it didn't have a water bottle pocket on the right side and a TSA approved computer pocket. They have added in the newer version which makes this backpack the best I have had so far. The Organization pocket is much cleaner and has room to store you iPad so its not with the lap top. I usually cary for work my MacBook Pro 15", Canon 215p scanner, Addition Keyboard, trackpad and computer stand, 2"binder, iPad, and still have room to add a Tenba BYOB bag with a Canon camera and 3 lenses. It' gets a bit heavy when you pack it full. But it does hold a lot.

I absolutely loved my old Router backpack, but after 5 years of travel and abuse, it finally wore out. When it was time to upgrade, going back to the Router was a no-brainer, so when it was time, I went with the Transit version for more space.
The ONLY reason I'd dock this score would be the removal of the daisy chain feature on the exterior of the pack. On the old version of this bag I would use the daisy chain to mount, or to carabiner various gear when not commuting.
As for the upgrades I'm enjoying:
- The exterior pockets with this new version are much larger, so that was a nice trade-off.
- How the R-Transit pack distributes weight. The newer Router Transit distributes weight more vertical than the old pack, which let items kind of hang and pull. The difference and comfort with this new version is incredible and makes the entire purchase, for me, worthwhile.
- The laptop sleeve. Fits my 17in MacPro perfectly, the fold open is nice for travel, as the old pack only had a 60% unzip and I was always forced to remove the laptop.
- The first main bay, something about the way it folds open, hard to describe, but it feels natural and makes it much easier to access that bay than in the previous version, huge upgrade.
I look forward to traveling with and abusing this pack for years to come.

I gave my boyfriend this backpack as a gift and earned major brownie points. The amount of storage and pockets can't be beat, he's used it every day for travel and commute since opening it.

This product is amazing. There is so much room for everything I need. I consistently fill the backpack with my laptop and charger, three books minimum, and random accessories, and there is plenty of room for more! The whistle on the chest strap is an added entertainment benefit.
