Fit and sizing was good. Materials used are average, but of decent quality. I'd say this boot is over cost compared to better options on the market, but adequate for this type of boot. Side note, these do make my feet sweat quite a lot after about 7-8 hours of my shift, even when wearing wool socks.

These boots are great! I've liked Carolinas for a long time and these fit like a glove. Zappos was great about getting the other boots I had ordered (not Carolinas), replaced and these shipped out to me ASAP. Couldn't be happier with the fit and the overall transaction with Zappos!

These boots injured my achilles tendon. The heel counter dug into my leg so bad it continues to hurt like a month after I have stopped wearing the boots. You could not pay me to wear these boots again. I'm not sure why there isn't more padding between the counter and your foot... maybe some leather or something??? Leaving 2 stars instead of 1, because maybe this is a personal issue??? But I work a job hard on my feet where I need my footwear to be durable and comfortable.. which I thought is the whole reason these boots exist? But man, you literally could not pay me $1000 to wear these boots for a week, that's how bad they are. I can understand some breakin, but I genuinely have a constant chronic issue with my foot now, as a result of wearing this boot for 3 shifts. I would have paid the price of these boots again to have not have dealt with this issue in the first place.
