Proper open toe 'fisherman' sandals are the unicorn of sandals ... most stores & sites have scads of closed toe sandals, or those 'sports' sandals with only 2 straps across the bridge (those are NOT proper fisherman sandals), all of which are horrible to look at, or horrible to wear. These Dockers 'Shorewood' sandals are not bad, but not great either ... the best I can say about them is they are acceptable. Since Zappos doesn't carry these in half sizes, I had to choose between sandals that result in me stubbing my toes with every stride, or ones with clown-shoe like protuberances sticking way out in front of me. The build quality seems fairly solid, but the 'memory foam' footbed is not nearly as cushioning or as comfortable as the marketing spiel would have you believe. Since I know that leather is in fact cheap and easy to get (all those McDonalds hamburgers worldwide result it a LOT of dead cow skin lying about), it amazes me that name brand shoe makers foist that man-made "faux leather" garbage on us at near-premium pricing. Good thing these sandals were on discount -- I most certainly would not pay full price for fake leather.

I actually wear these fishing in the summer. And sport them anywhere I have shorts on. Fantastic warm weather shoe!

My husband likes these sandals. The first pair he received had a defect where they were stitched. The replacement pair that Zappos sent are great.

My husband likes these sandals. He wears a 9 1/2. We ordered a 10, but they were too big. We then ordered a 9, and they fit. He thinks they will take a little breaking in, but so far he is happy with these sandals.

I ordered medium width and these were tight getting on but felt good once on. I really need a wide.

This shoes so comfortable I love it

The design of this sandal has been changed for the worst since my last pair several years ago. The sandal is nice in all regards except the rear adjustment strap (around the back of the ankle) has been eliminated preventing a good snug fit. I tried a smaller size than I normally wear and was still a loose fit. I would not recommend them until the solid strap is replaced with an adjustable one.

My boyfriend chose these sandals with less than a week prior to leaving for vacation. Of course, the first pair that we ordered ended up being a full size too big. He is pretty true to size, so we feel pretty confident in saying that this style runs a full size larger than expected. He was happy with the styling of the sandal and both the support and cushioning but ended up with blisters on the tops of both feet where the material rubbed. This could have been avoided if the sandal could have been tightened a bit more, but hopefully adding some moleskin the the underside will prevent further discomfort. Big thank you to Zappos for having such fast shipping and getting us a 2nd pair the day prior to our departure!

I bought these because of the support. I have narrow feet, so they are a little big. Overall, they're good shoes.

I just bought these to replace some very worn sandals before going on a trip. They look great and, as far as I can tell, they seem like they'd be comfortable. However, I can't say the latter is a sure thing because they seem overly narrow for what they describe as "medium" width. I managed to slip them on with a bit of effort and was tempted to keep them but my cheap old discount sandals fit so much better, and are the same size claimed. I'm disappointed overall and returning these. I really wish there were more options for half-sizes and extra width, Zappos. You're great otherwise.

Shoe is much too big and too wide. Customer should be told that shoe runs very large.

These are awful. Rubbing and causing bleeding on both big toes
