I typically wear a size 9.5 for regular shoes and often a 9 for sandals. I buy a size 40 for clogs. I bought the 40. These shoes are very narrow. I have a little bit wide feet and there is no give. I sized up to a 41 and the problem did not improve and the shoe barely felt to be bigger. They are a super cute style and look like they would have good support for walking. The leather is a stiff and does not seem like it would mold to the foot particularly. I had high hopes for the shoe but sadly, the do not work for me. Zappos staff was great.

Unique style & great color, but the leather tie could only be fitted so much, making the shoe not feel quite steady. Cute design,but little uncomfortable where the ankle hit

I love Pikolino. But this shoe looked a bit old-ladyish (even though I am suddenly an old lady, I don't want my shoes advertising the fact for me). It could have been the color I chose - stone. I won't however, try another color.

Drat. These shoes are cute and are well constructed, but they don't fit my feet. The side bows out when it's on in a very strange way and they are more narrow than expected. Going back.

These are beautiful shoes, they look great on, but I'm returning them because the part that covers the heel comes up too high on my ankle, digging into my ankle bone on the outside, and rubbing my hamstring. It's really too bad, they are otherwise very, very comfortable, and I was looking forward to wearing them with skirts and pants. Sad.

Fit was too large for my low-volume feet. I am 5'4" and wear a size 10 shoe. Perhaps because of my height (or lack thereof), the back of the shoe hit an unfortunate part of my ankle. Due to my low instep, The laced leather had to overlap in order to get a secure fit, and it still felt loose overall. The front of the shoe was at least narrow enough to fit reasonably well. Overall, someone taller or with higher-volume (or at least high instep) feet would probably be happy with these. I'm discovering that I probably need to look for narrow sandals even though the width is average.

I bought several pairs of shoes to try on and choose. This one was my favorite from a style perspective, but it is literally cut leather....not lined anywhere....not even padding on the heel. For the amount of money for this shoe, I would expect more that cut leather....these were not even finished on any of the edges with stitching. The absence of any padding on the heel caused my heels to blister in less that .25 mile of walking....hadn't even made it to the car....bummer.

I had high hopes for these shoes, and was willing to pay $150 for a sandal, but , alas, they are not comfortable. The leather is stiff (maybe will soften with time?), and the soles are quite stiff. So sad to return such a cute sandal!

These are a really nice looking shoe which I am looking forward to wearing when the snow boots are put away. Seems like they will complement shorts, cropped pants and jeans. I don't expect any pain with my Pikolinos while walking Thanks to my hubby who made the purchase and Zappos for having them to my door with expediency.

I'm normally a 40 in Pikolinos. I love the Pikolinos shoes with the velcro straps. I hated these laceups. Very uncomfortable and VERY hard to lace up. Plus they were very narrrow and the heel didn't fit right.
