Ted Baker shoes are the worst possible combination. High style, high price, nice fit, and low quality construction. Designed to maximize profits.
I contacted Ted Baker customer service about the quality issue with the sole of this shoe. Their response: “we aren’t aware of this problem, but take it bake to the retailer”. Then I log onto Zappos and I see one of the four total reviews describing the EXACT SAME problem. Never heard of it, huh?
Please see the attached photos showing minimally worn shoes, with a completely broken sole, and water stains from that broken sole. This happened while wearing them during a rain storm, which I avoided when I could. So these shoes can’t stand up to rainy weather.
Similar shoes from other companies make it 30 months under heavy use, not 3 months under light use.
Don’t buy Ted Baker shoes. They aren’t made for walking.

My 9.5 was spot on. I have these in grey and blue suede as well. I have the the suede for more than two years and they have held up perfectly. Saw some complaints about construction quality but I have no issue whatsoever. That said I keep them out of the rain and wear them maybe weekly in the fall winter and spring.

Very stylish nice looking chukka but very narrow and lacking in cushion.

The comfort and style are good and I get lots of compliments on them.
However, with regular use (office, going out), the soles have not held up. The rubber layer started wearing and cracking after just a few months. After 6 months, the intermediate layers of the sole of the right shoe split in half and the of the left shoe is well on its way.
I expected a longer life from shoes that cost $250 and wouldn't buy them again.

These are pretty nice looking shoes and pretty comfortable as well BUT!!. The construction is not that of a $250 shoe. It's constructed closer to a $75 MSRP shoe. The leather is of lower quality and you can tell by the light weight of the shoe that the overall quality is not there. I suppose that is what you get with a designer shoe. I just picked up a pair of Cobbler union boots. Though they cost $150 more the difference is night and day. Leather quality, construction, fit and finish - through the rough (a collector item). I also have a few pairs of Allen Edmond's and I just cannot emphasize enough the lack of what you get for $250. - Style over Substance -
I'd also recommend:
Cobbler Union, Beckett Simonon, Allen Edmonds
