Felt very tight at first but stretching out nicely after only a few climbs.

Great shoe. Perfect for trad and long multipitch. Equally as good on slab and vert. Would highly recommend and definitely buy again.

I own the Mythos as well as the Mythos eco the performance is identical although I think the Mythos eco has a cooler colorway. Highly recommend. As somebody with large feet the extended size range on the Mythos lineup makes climbing possible for me, great shoe.

I bought these last fall when the "regular" (leather tops) Mythos was out-of-stock in my size. At first was a bit worried about the "recycled rubber sole" might not be as sticky as usual....but after using them on NH slab I'd say "No Worries". Great shoe for multi-pitch ascents, comfortable to wear at the belay stances with a little thought. If you're looking for an all-around shoe this is the one to buy (this, or the "leather" version).

I wear a 7.5D and have a fairly pronounced arch and even toes, these are my first foray into climbing so I might not be the best person to review. These seem to be the snug fit needed to climb but not so tight as to be uncomfortable to pinch anywhere. The lacing is a bit tedious but nice to snug up where you might need to....I think these will work just fine as a beginning climber either barefoot or with a thin sock...definitely don't want thick socks with these IMO...good luck hope this helps others about ready to start monkeying around.

I have always climbed with La Sportivia and have loved them. This shoe however wears out very quickly on the toe. Just 4 months into using them and the toe is completely tore out.

Used for crack climbing in granite. The laces near the buttons at the fron of the toes snapped, rendering the shoe useless and requiring a replacement lace. Both bottons on both sides of the shoe bends quite quickly and becomes a pressure point in the shoe when jamming.

Bought these shoes this season and after the initial break-in period they have been very comfortable and served me well for crack climbing however. The sole started delaminating fairly soon after purchasing them and now, with maybe 30 or 40 pitches of use the sole is almost starting to come off! What good is a crack shoe if you can't jam it in cracks?? Seems like they're not very durable or they're not using good glue or something. It's a shame because otherwise the shoes have been nice to wear.

Its really sad to see a tried and true product you have relied on go down in quality. I love this shoe and have been wearing it since I started multipitch climbing 8 years ago. I used to have this shoe +laces last multiple seasons. After 2, weekend trips to Yosemite and a 6 weeks of climbing in the gym 1-2 days a week the laces have completely ripped and the rand is wearing significantly fast. I usually expect a pairing climbing shoes to last a bit longer then this especially when they are designed for this purpose for crack climbing!! La sportiva I love your shoes and want to use them but this makes me want to look somewhere else. Please work on your quality and laces and I will reconsider thank you.

I have worn mythos for over a decade, however the new eco version break down incredibly quickly. After only three months of climbing both toes had broken down. It is still the same comfortable shoe but not worth buying an eco product that lasts 1/4 the normal length of the previous version. Please bring back the old shoe!

I have owned about seven pair of the old Mythos over ten years, and many of my friends had pairs of these as well. We all agree- this is a terrible new version that has very little in common with the previous Mythos. It feels cheap and plasticky. The rubber is not as sticky and feels thick and clunky on edging (used to be the real feature of the Mythos). The laces are cheap and lacing not fitted. The body doesn't;t mold to the foot as it used to. All in all, a different and awful imitation of what used to be an excellent shoe. Why did you do this, La Sportiva?
