These are for my husband, who works construction. We can’t afford a $300 pair of boots right now, but still want something that will last more than a month and make winter less miserable. These seem to be an excellent compromise. I did a lot of research before buying them. They are well made, waterproof, comfortable, and they should last a good amount of wear and tear. I am going to waterproof them further, just in case. It really helps that Zappos is such an awesome company with phenomenal return/exchange policies and practices. That goes a long way to me when shopping. I will also update my review if anything changes.

I LOVE these boots, ive been getting nothing but intense steel toe work boots for years and these are the best so far! INCREDIBLE support and cushioning. I have arthritis in both of my feet, mainly big toe, so I went with the wide version and they fit just right! snug enough to stay on so I don't have to curl my toes to grip to the boot itself, plus the high heel logger style has the best arch support (because of course on top of arthritis I have flat feet) has improved my posture so much I no longer suffer immense lumber pain. my toes are very well protected and they hold their shape and stiffness for 6-8 months depending how much use they get. I wear them at least 5 days a week so its constant wear and tear but they hold up very well new fav brand of shoes and new fav website to buy from I also have never written a review for shoes before THATS how much I am in love with these boots <3 quote the raven 'Nevermore'

I ordered multiple boots. I have some challenges with my feet. I need shoes that have good arch support and cushioning in the footbed. I really liked the Irish Setters, they had good arch support and cushioning, they were snug and conforming to my foot and ankle, it was easy to get in and out of the boots, the laces were easy to adjust and tighten, they had a spacious toe box. The boots have a steel toe box with a leather outer boot, the soles are thick and sturdy. These are heavier boots, which has it's pros and cons. I would say if you like these boots you could also like the Durango (though the Durango runs very long). The only reason I did not keep these boots is that I ordered them in a wide width. These were not wide. The wides fit the way a traditional Medium or C width would fit. These run narrow. In case it helps you, these are 11.5 cm wide and 31 cm long. Other boots or shoes may be acceptable at 11.5cm wide but these have more cushioning on the inside (which is valuable) so the makers to provide a wider shoe to adjust for the additional cushioning. That being said, of the 20 pairs of shoes I tried on, these boots were the best quality of them all.

These are great boots for the price, no complaints. As some other reviews for this product have noted the width is narrower than marked: I could barely get my foot into the normal/medium width size, which is my normal fit. Swapping them for the wide width in the same size solved the problem. Very comfortable and sturdy.

These are seriously narrow. I bought my usual size 8 1/2 Wide and couldn't get them on. Sized up to a 9 Wide and still felt small. Maybe if they came in a double wide fitting they'd work but with the steel toe there's no way they were going to stretch to my foot size. Disappointed as they're a nice looking boot other than the sizing issue!

An amazing boot

These shoes are the greatest work boots I’ve ever had I recently bought a pair from tractor supply at the same price how to return them after three days they ripped apart will purchase these boots again

Great boot, ordered wide but too small. Trying double wide. I have a narrow heel and these boots do form well to my heel.

It felt like a custom fit. Not only good arch support, there is even perfect indentation for the ball of your foot.

Once you break 'em in, they're sweet as a peach. Maintain them and they should last you.

They seem to be well constructed.Good arch support.The heel is a little large which feels awkward at first, but you'll get used to it.It may feel tight at first, but it doesn't take too long to break them in.

after reading so many reviews and opinions I decided to go with my on , I ordered a half size bigger (11)- 11.5 the width was D which fit me perfect , will take a few days to really break them in

The fit was okay. I’ve never had to buy a boot that needs to be wider. So I’ll return these and wait for them to be back in stock with the wider fit ??and best option is to buy better inner soles these seemed a little hard and no cushion.

Narrow. The size is fine but it cramps my foot because of how narrow it is (grabbed the medium width) and my feet aren't wide at all. It was slightly better when I took out the soles but after the second day I'm getting bad friction blisters on the middle area of my forefoot. Maybe I need thicker socks but the boot runs hot on my feet already. Will probably return. I'll update the review if it gets better but I won't be able to break these in any more until my foot heals. Ouch..

After wearing two three times it's not waterproof anymore.
