Great quality for the price. Generally you would expect this quality of leather from a boot priced at over $100 easily. The leather is a bit stiff like a western boot but will probably wear really well. I've had them for two weeks and the leather is softening up and shaping to my foot. Great stitching all around, especially the stitching holding the sole to the upper, makes the boot look like it will last a long time. The look is definitely a little dressy but will look more casual with some scuffs and wear over time. Glad I bought this boot.

My father never found pleasure in buying or especially wearing dress shoes - he's more of a work boot kind of guy. When he recently needed a new pair of dress shoes for an occasion I figured I'd see what Rockport had to offer, as I've personally been a fan of the comfort of their women's Cobb Hill line. When I saw these wingtip boots I knew I found something that just might make him a little less unhappy to wear a more "dress" style shoe. I was right - He LOVED them! I ordered the dark shadow which is a dark ash color. The gray color is great and could be paired with black, gray, or navy/blue dress pants. These boots could also easily be worn with jeans for a more casual look. They even come with two pairs of laces; one matching the shoe and the second in blue that matched the stitching on the sole to give the shoes a whole other look. He also noted the side zipper as a nice feature to help get the boots on and off easier. From a comfort standpoint he said they feel great and don't make his feet feel as tired or achy after wearing for an evening like other dress shoes often can. The rubber soles are also really nice in that they offer good traction and shock absorption. The only complaint is that when they are new, out-of-the-box, the upper part of the boot around the ankle is a little stiff and needs to be softened and shaped a bit to avoid rubbing. Otherwise he loves the boots and would recommend them.

I was nervous in trying this out. I just had foot surgery and needed support along with having the look I need for work. These boots are really comfortable and the leather is soft.

Bought this pair for my husband after looking through thousands of boots. Love the style and zip up feature so he won't have to keep tying up laces. The boot goes far up the ankle so make sure to wear long socks at first. The boot is sturdy and well made, they will need to be broken in. Husband is a 9.5 in sneakers/pumas and had to size down to a 9. He said these were a better fit and comfort compared to Steve Madden boots that had a similar style.

Just bought these shoes. I was worried about getting 14 wide because of my weird feet. I wanted a 15 w but they were all out. I got the 14 W and they fit like a charm. Overall the construction is well put. No crap stitching or anything when i inspected it. The zipper also seems to be of pretty good quality. The laces aren't that great, but with the zipper and a little bow it hols to your foot very well. As for comfort, I only briefly walked around in doors with them. They seemed very comfy, no rubbing my foot the wrong way or anything. But only time and walking will tell. Overall a great shoe!

Wow -- these are the best looking boots I've seen that come in larger sizes (I'm typically 14s). I bought a bunch of combinations to try out various sizes and materials, and here are my thoughts: 1. I think the black look better in real life than they do in the images (I thought they looked rather bland online). 2. The burgundy look good with black pants. No, they aren't quite black, but they are so dark that they look good, and the slight burgundy sheen adds a hint of interest and curiosity. I"ll probably end up wearing them with a black belt. 3. The 13-W fit me perfectly. The 14-M also felt pretty good, but perhaps a little too much room in the toes. 14-W was way too big. 4. The black leather is much more flexible than the burgundy leather. You lose the shine, but you gain extra comfort. In the end, I leaned towards the shine of the burgundy, but it was close. Overall, great boots. Very happy they make them in the larger sizes.

This has to be one of the best-looking pairs of boots out there. While they aren't the most comfortable pairs of Rockports I've owned, they certainly are are amongst the most comfortable of footwear in this price-range (which is what I tend to pay for shoes). The finish on the upper is gorgeous, a true dark burgundy. The lining is a soft leather...feels like a quality detail. The rubble outsole is durable and holds up to lots of walking on pavement...perfect for a city-dweller like myself. The footbed is comfortable. Overall, its hard to imagine a better value for the price.

I’m a big advocate of Rockport because they come in wides. I ordered an 11 wide and they fit perfectly, really comfortable, easy in easy out with the side zipper, good looking boot, looks like the sole will wear well. Keep making great shoes Rockport and I’ll keep wearing them, had a small issue with the craftsmanship, stitching was uneven but Zappos as usual took care of it, great job Zappos!

Leather was very stiff, kind of uncomfortable. The color is not as expected either. I don't know what it is, but they just didn't seem to fit a niche for me. They're almost like dress shoes, but not quite. Definitely a unique look if that's what you're after.

I love the styling but couldn't get my foot CLOSE to fitting in the thing. I ordered an 11, and the size-calculator said that it would fit about the same as an 11 NEW Balance sneaker, which are wider. Not true. Alas, I have to return the awesome pair of boots.

Good quality, color was true to picture, came with extra set of blue laces, width was true. I’m a size 10 in Nike athletic shoes, Johnston & Murphy dress shoes, vasque, Irish setter and red wing boots. As other reviews suggest, start a half size smaller than you normally wear. I bought these in a 10 and returned. Actually ordered a Frye boot instead. Nice boot for the price though, and I like the idea of zipper entry.

Very stylish and well made boot. Unfortunately even the EE is extremely narrow. If you have a wide foot then don’t even think about getting these boots.

Really like the style. For the black, I didn't love the suede material that is incorporated into the shoe. I thought it would all be a finished leather. Going to try the same boot in a different color.
