Best winter coat ever. I'm 5'8" 130 lbs and got the medium - it's a bit loose, but that's nice in case I wear anything bulky underneath. But this is such a beautiful WARM coat. I put it on right out of the box and didn't want to take it off in my own house... The fur lined hood is big enough to let you snuggle into it, and the parka down of the coat is immediately warming. Such a nice purchase - 10/10 would recommend.

A very well put together jacket. I ordered this jacket as a gift for my GF. When i received the package in the mail I opened it to find it bagged nicely in the box. When i took it out and tried all the buttons and zippers everything worked great. Its a really warm jacket, great for new england winters and Im really happy I was able to find a quality jacket for for less than the price of Canada Goose. Thank you Zappos??

This parka is very WARM! I live in a Western Colorado mountain town where temperatures can drop below 0 at certain times, and this jacket definitely does a great job at keeping me warm and comfortable during those cold winter days. You can't beat the price either. This parka looks a lot more expensive that it actually is. Great quality and style. I like how you can adjust the waistline where it gives you shape. I am 5'1" and 110lbs, the XS fits perfectly. Highly recommended!

Awesome - this coat is ridiculously nice for the price! Soft, warm, and the cuffs are a nice touch. The hood actually stays around my head instead of flying off. These easily seems like a coat that could cost twice as much as it actually does. I'm normally either a medium or large in coats depending on how fitted they are around the hips - I went with a large for this one and it fits comfortably while still giving me a great shape. It's a miracle.

This parka is amazing. The Mom Edit had the lighter weight S13 parka showcased but where I live wind chills can frequently exceed -20°F and winter is our absolute longest season, and I hate being uncomfortable so I wasn't even going to consider it. But the S13 Alaska Parka is every bit as stylish whilst still allowing for survival, which for some of us is important, lol. I probably could've gotten away with the small but I ordered the medium so I could wear heavier winter cardigans, sweaters etc underneath without it feeling too restrictive. While no one looks super skinny in a down parka, this one has a nice feminine, fitted shape to it so you feel less like you're walking around wrapped in a comforter, lol. I'm short, 5'2" so it comes down to my knees but I really don't mind. I happen to think my legs look cute peeking out in leggings underneath! Most importantly it's luxuriously warm. If I zip it ALL the way up basically only my eyes are visible. Great for crossing vast parking lots in 20° below wind chills Christmas shopping. I no longer dread stepping out into the abysmally frigid temps to live my life. That's a really big deal to me!

This coat is incredibly warm and has the BEST hood for the climate here in the winter. It's a little bit longer than i would have liked - I'm 5'4" and it comes down to my knees. It's a great quality jacket and has all of the features I was looking for without the canada goose price.

The jacket is very stylish and warm. It would definitely keep me warm throughout a New England winter. I agree with other reviews in that the jacket runs small. I ordered a medium and it was a big snug. It might fit okay if I were only wearing a t-shirt, but with a warm sweater it would be too tight. The jacket is quite long, which isn't what I was looking for. I ended up returning this item and going with the same coat, but in a shorter length, and one size up - the Eskimo Parka in a large. The large fits much better, with plenty of room to wear a sweater underneath. Additionally, it doesn't look oversized. (BTW, I'm 5'7" and weigh 150). I love the coat, and have already received a number of comments on it. The hood and fur is a bit large, but nonetheless warm, so I don't mind. In summary, if you're looking for a long coat, this one is stylish and very warm. If you're looking for something a little shorter, but in the same style, go with the Eskimo. Hope this helps!

This parka is amazing! It is really warm...perfect for walking the dog or other outdoor winter activities. Very well made, stylish and comfortable. I get compliments every time I wear it. I ordered a size up...5'6", 125lbs, small bust ordered a size medium. The thumb holes in the inner sleeve are a smidge tight (too short). The only reason I gave it four stars is the pockets are a little weird...I like to put my hands in my pockets but the lower pockets have a tab top making it a little awkward for hands and the upper pockets are too high. The upper pockets are great for the phone but the snaps are also awkward. Neither is a big deal, but just enough for me to not give it 5 stars. I would highly recommend. I love it!

I like everything about this parka except that the lower half is so much wider than the top half--it's like a big bell! The photos don't show that. I'm returning it for that reason. It looks silly on me. Otherwise the quality looks great and it seems warm.

I was so in love with this coat...until I bought it and tried it on. :( The style of this coat is beautiful! Timeless and not over the top. And it's super warm. I read multiple reviews on Zappos and other sites regarding sizing, so I ordered a large, 1 size larger than my usual medium. (I'm 5'5, 140lbs and a 34C) The filling was just too puffy and bundlesome. It made me look 40lbs heavier. I cinched that interior waist as far as I could and the filling was still just too overwhelming. I felt like the StayPuff Marshmallow Man. It is also a bit snug across my chest. In the end, it just doesn't work for me and I will be sending it back.

First, this coat runs small. I ordered a Large (I'm usually a Medium), because I wanted to make sure there was room for me to wear a sweater under it. The Large was so tight I couldn't wear a sweater underneath. I could barely get it zipped, and the arms were tight. But I LOVE the style and the fur hood. So I ordered an XL and it fits great. The arms are a little long but that doesn't bother me. I'm 5'7" with broad shoulders. Went to MN in -10 degrees and was warm and cozy.

very nice coat and very warm, runs small, get next size up

This coat is amazing, if only it fit. It is well made, love the faux fur lining in the hood, lots of pockets, fleece hand covers with thumb loop and adjustable waist and hood. However, I ordered a size larger than normal hoping to have extra room for sweaters in the winter, and the coat barely zipped and was too small in both the hips and bust. If you're curvy, this may not work for you.

I returned it - did not have inside packet, had large ackwrd buttons.. not at par with technical gear for winter, and not elegant enough to justify not having all the technical specs.

This is a beautiful coat and i really wanted to love it. These are the things that prevented me from keeping it: - The body of the coat was strange. I ordered a small based on other reviewers' recommendations and it was too big in the shoulders and belled out at the bottom. It just looked like I was 4 and trying to wear my dad's coat. I then exchanged for an xs which took care of the shoulder/length issues, but then the sleeves were very short. The thumb-holes were pulling up on my hands. I could've opted not to use that feature, but what's the point of having hand warmers if you can't use them. - The hood. It's not removable. I knew this prior to ordering, but given the volume of the fur, I may want to remove it from time to time. It looked like I had a mane. The price of this coat is amazing, and it really is constructed very well. My search continues.... For reference, I am 5'5" 120lbs. I am usually a XS-S depending on brands.

This coat runs very tight and slim-fitting. I'm 5'2" and 112lb and found it uncomfortably restricting to zip up. When it does zip up, it somehow manages to look bulky despite the slim fit. It does feel very warm, and I appreciate the inner lining with thumb-holes, but it's not the right coat for me.

Really want to love this coat, but wondering if I got a different coat than everyone else? I am 5'7" 130lb and ordered a medium as per reviews below, and I am swimming in it! Seems really well made, but makes me look like a child wearing her mother's coat. Also hits my knee, which I was hoping for something above knee.

Too small. It would have been a great coat but it runs very small for the size listed.

Beware! Beautiful coat. I ordered the XL - I wear a 12-14. The coat fit my boss who is a slim size 2-4! Very disappointed. Grateful for the great Zappos shipping & return policies - am sending back
