Made of durable saffiano type cross hatch leather - so it resists scuffing and retains its structure even when empty. This product should last for many years since it is durable enough for daily use, including bumps and nicks, without showing signs of wear. Keep in mind that is quite small - only a laptop, charger, plus few essentials will fit. Ideally, something like a tablet or MS Surface works better than a full laptop. The style is also slightly different than the typical slim soft briefcase that Coach, or other brands, usually make. This style is a little more "soft" with more rounded corners and rounded design elements. Overall, would purchase again if/when on sale. After 6 months of daily use (admittedly via car and plane transportation only) it still looks brand new. Style is perfect for a cosmopolitan and fashion forward city like NYC.
