So I heard complaints about how the previous title of the borealis was better than this one. However, I have to wholeheartedly disagree. This backpack is so much better! The material is nicer and I can carry more stuff without the load hurting my back as much as the other borealis did. It's definitely improved. The shape is also a lot better. I found that with my other borealis, it would jutt out at the bottom and look awkward. The compartments also seem a lot roomier and are easier to access. I'm a college student and it's great for organization and it looks appealing to the eye as well. I also like the material better, I've worn it in the rain and water didn't seep through at all. The run down: love it, I would definitely buy again

I had the same bookbag with no support. I finally invested in a north face because I heard it was all the rage. Little did I know this would relieve my back, carry everything I need, and protect everything inside. Best investment of college

Love this backpack. Excellent quality and functional design. Really happy with the blue color; it's not too dark or too light; it's a mature blue. I expect to have this for many years. The padding on the back cushions the backpack without adding too much weight. My 15.6 inch laptop fits, although it is a little tight. But, I expected that.

I am a college student, taking way too many classes and this bag is perfect to fit all my books without making the bag look huge or feel extremely heaand it's also very comfortable. It's totally worth the Money

I purchased this backpack for my daughter for school. I originally did not think this was the ideal school backpack at first glance, it reminded me more of an outdoor hike type. However once my daughter opened it up and showed me all the organizational pockets in there I was immediately sold. What I loved the most was the two technology compartments; one for a tablet and one that fits your laptop. Since my main concern was protecting the laptop this is by far the best protection I have seen inside a backpack where it actually is "protected" it fits securely and does not move around. It is not big and bulky like most we have purchased in the past and is very comfortable to wear.

Good size for what I needed to use for a work/school backpack. Not too big and bulky but enough storage for books, laptop, etc.

I use my backpack for school and sometimes as a travel bag, I love it! It's very comfortable and it's so cute! Also, I'm very short and dislike large backpacks because they look HUGE on me, but this one does not make me look like a turtle.

It holds all of my textbooks. And there is room for more! It's very practical.

I bought this for college, to replace my laptop bag, and I'm so glad that I did! First off all, it has plenty of room for my laptop, books, and necessities, with pockets for everything. But, most importantly, it is very comfortable to carry, and my back feels so much better than it did using my previous bag. If you are looking for a college backpack that gets the job done, and is stylish to boot, get this!

Extremely stylish, comfortable, and perfectly compartmentalized.

Enough room to fit all of my textbooks but not big and bulky. The straps and back are extremely comfortbale and the design is flawless. I would say a negative comment but there isn't one. Worth every penny!

I bought this bag for traveling and starting medical school. It is perfect! It keeps my stuff dry in the rain and can hold a surprising amount of stuff

Hard on shoulders the straps could be softer, and a little small on the inside. Otherwise looks nice and fits my laptop perfectly, also has a spot that my IPad fits nicely.

This is a great backpack. Ive had if for about two months now and haven't seen any flaws. I was looking on a couple of sites for which back pack to buy. I'm glad I decided to buy the North Face. I've taken this backpack snow skiing in Colorado, it got snow on it sometimes but that didn't cause any problems. Ive had in it 5 degree weather and it didn't cause anything to freeze up. Right now, I use it for college and I have plenty of room for my laptop and all my books. I highly recommend getting this backpack. Even if you do not want to take it hiking or for the outdoors, it would be great just for school or traveling! All in all, great backpack!!

It's really comfortable and it holds enough for a long day away from home

This is definitely the best bookbag I've ever had and the quality is top notch! The only issues I had were that it was sort of heavy on its own and it can be hard to load (but it fits a lot inside). I think both are a result of the great quality and materials they used though!

Great backpack, I need to replace my gym/office bag and wanted something I could count on for years to come. This was perfect because it matches the color scheme of my North Face jacket which incorporated a sense of style to accompany its practicality. I love the designated pockets for my gadgets as well as the surprising amount of space for shoes/clothing.

We got 2 borealis packs - 1 for each high school student. The PERFECT pack in terms of capacity, features, comfort. We expect these to carry our Senior and Sophomore all the way thru college. ALSO - can't underestimate the "cool factor" of the North Face Borealis.

I just started nursing school and this product has been a great investment. It holds everything I need and has plenty of pockets to hold all the little gadgets I need. Not only is it comfortable on my back but it looks cute too.
