Sent my old Exocet backpack in to get fixed and it was in repairable. Had it for 12 years and thought I would have to buy another. The North Face reimbursed me for it and I bought the Borealis and am very satisfied with it.

What a great backpack! Versatile and a quality product. Was looking for a more versatile bag other than my laptop bag. This backpack carries more stuff! The dark grey and orange/red color combo is exactly what I was like looking for.

This is the perfect backpack for going on day trip adventures with my two young kids. The Borealis holds plenty of snacks, sweatshirts and whatever else we need for spending the day outside exploring. The side pockets hold our Camelbaks and keep them in easy reach. The clips and bungees make bringing my folded down hula hoops along easy for me to do. The backpack itself is very comfortable and looks so stylish. We recently took a trip to NYC and the backpack was perfect for my carry on needs as well as city exploring.

I bought this backpack to serve two functions 1. Gym bag 2. Travel pack. It's well suited as a gym bag because it holds all my stuff and is still able to fit in a locker and is comfortable on the occasions that I ride my bike to the gym. As a travel pack, it easily holds my 13-inch MacBook Pro, my iPad, a couple water bottle, and a change of clothes. It's actual even kind of handy to carry two or three bottles of wine to a restaurant. It's not extremely heavy duty as in a tactical sense, but the trade of is that it is light weight. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is an exterior hook & loop to add moral patches for personalization.

It easily fits all of my books, my mac book pro, my lunch box, and still has some room to spare. Super cute too!

I use this backpack for school, and, yes, I wish I had a little more room for a textbook and binders, but I can still use it and be very comfortable.

Perfect bag. I use it on a daily basis to carry my stuff to and from work. I have enough room for all my small sruff and for a slim lunch bag, a change of clothes and my Nalgene bottle with room to spare. Not too big on the back and very comfortable compared to others that I have used. Northface is a great company to work with. They were very helpful.

Great "briefcase" for my remote work in Costa Rica. Love the semi-rigid back plate. Keeps me comfortable and protects my gear. Go ahead and order the small rain cover for it, it's well worth the few extra bucks.

This is replacing my 07' TNF Slingshot pack that is still in mint condition aside from color fading from the FL sun, but I wanted to upgrade due to so many technology advances that have occurred since 07'. I drive a topless Jeep, so my bag follows me EVERYWHERE.
OUTSIDE OF PACK has hip & sternum belts to cinch load, two h20 side water pocks, lash tabs to hook gym padlock & mini hand sanitizer bott onto & a bugee system for hoody or bike helmet. Outside back of pack has ventilation pods for comfort & less sweat & a spine to keep form for life and a padded top handle to hang pack.
FRONT ORGANIZER COMPARTMENT has numerous padded & unpadded sleeves for tablet, bike tools, gum, keys, pens & 2 elastic webbings for media cords. This compartment is full length of pack so can stuff other items under organization pocks.
MAIN COMPARTMENT fits tons of gear along with a fleece lined 15in laptop sleeve that can also be used as a water bladder as there is a hole for the hose directly under top handle.
CONS:
*The top carry handle doesnt lift much from bag, so can only hang from a hook, not the back of a chair.
*Side compression buckles are connected to what i call wings cos thats what they look like when not cinched.
I am a TNFer for life. Top of the line construction. Lifetime Warranty gives me a piece of mind. I sent my Slingshot in last year to get a zipper tear fixed. Cost me $9 to send in & go back a week later in new condition.

I got this for my dad for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. He needed a backpack that was big enough but not too big for taking as a carry on for planes. He really loved this bag!
