I use this backpack for school and even if I have a lot of stuff in it, it's still comfortable to wear and doesn't feel having when I have it on!

This is really a nice backpack. I bought it for my husband to run to school every day and he liked it very much. Like all the other gears we have from north face. This one doesn't let us down. Trust north face and happy with the purchase.

I bought this backpack for my daughter who attends the university of Oregon. The reason I bought it was that it's design and waterproof qualities. Plus it's the one she had to have!! It will get tested in the rain of the northwest.

I use this as my everyday bag for college and also just recently went kayaking it was amazing. I love my north face it is fit for me and is the perfect color. Great comfort and is light weight, perfect size laptop pocket for my HP. I recommend this bag to all who seize comfort, great padding, space, and durability. Bought another one for my friend.

Lots of storage space without making the backpack feel enormous! It holds all of my school books with ease and a big sweatshirt and sunglasses and laptop, with room to spare. Many compartments to separate things respectively, and I love that the side pocket can fit my 32 oz hydroflask.

I use the product for school. I had a really hard time finding one that would fit all of my books, binders, laptop, etc. without hurting my back. This one does just the trick.

I have to walk miles everyday around campus, and this backpack is amazing. It is so comfortable and when it snows/rains, I can still bring my laptop to class! I absolutely love this backpack.

I use this product mainly for school. It has more than enough space for all my books and computer. The only issue I'm finding is that it does not accommodate bulky items. It take flat folders and books but not objects that have real thickness.

I use it for school. I walk around a fairly big college campus and it keeps all my books and laptop tightly packed and dry. Not only does it do a great job with storing a lot of small to even large iteams but it is very astetically pleasing!

Needed a new backpack to replace a trusted Jansport that just couldn't withstand the transition from college to grad school and lots of field work. I have other North Face products, including a fantastic large duffel, and so I went here first. I saw the Borealis backpack and decided to give it a chance.
Ultimately, I wanted something comfortable with lots of storage options (like water bottle pockets) and organizational ability. This bag delivers on all counts. It is "designed for women" with nice structural accommodations and since I am 5'3", I needed a shorter torso design and shoulder support. I feel like I can take this bag to class or camping or on a ship and it could withstand years of use!

I just picked this up while traveling in Portland. It is replacing a smaller messenger bag which just wasn't up to traveling. Right away, after loading it up for my walk to work, I knew it was very confortable. It really sold me at the airport though, when they informed me my suitcase was overweight. Instead of the $75 fee, I stuffed the Borealis full and so it almost paid for itself. Even overstuffed and with sneakers and a rain jacket in the external straps, it was still very comfortable. A great bag!

This is the most comfortable backpack I have ever owned. I had no idea what a difference the strap design would make for women. I was slightly worried it would look funny but it actually looks very flattering! The backpack has tons of storage organizers built in, my only complaint is as the backpack gets full it is difficult to access things in the front pocket because it is so thin.

Bought this bag for school and work. Fits my Macbook Air 13" snugly with a case on it. Has my Ipad Air in it's compartment snug as well. Plenty of compartments for pens, notepads, cords for your electronics. Main compartment with the laptop sleeve has plenty of room to bring your lunch, books, and whatever else you might need. Excellent back support, in fact it is rigid and you won't be able to fold this bag or roll it up. Did not try hiking with it, but seems comfortable. Laptop sleeve could be used as a hydration bag since it is stretchable and has a hole leading out of the bag for your tube to drink out of. Overall all of the pockets in this bag hold everything every tight, yet stretchable by a surprising margin. Great bag overall, been looking for this type of bag for a long time and glad I made that purchase. Seems like it will last me a while.

I use the backup for school, and it manages to keep all my books and supplies organized. I'm able to safely store my laptop away from my heavy books on the padded compartment. The backpack fits all the textbooks I need(which is a lot), and I don't have to carry any because they don't fit. Also the padded back makes it more comfortable to wear the heavy backpack. Also there is an extra storage compartment where I can keep extra little things I need with them being destroyed by my textbooks.
