These are not the Zamberlans that I knew years ago. These are for long narrow feet. I have a pair of Zamberlans from 20 years ago that still fit great. This company has changed their quality and sizing of footwear. If you have a normal to large foot box or wide feet do not buy this boot.

Went out on a limp and bought these as I could not find any reviews as of yet because of the newness of this style.. so here's my opinion on these. I work on my feet all day (UPS) so comfort and support are top priorities. Up till these, Keens and Oboz have been my go to shoes but I must say I am in love with these! Style and comfort are amazing, just enough room in toe box without being to narrow or wide and my feet do not hurt at the end of the day. Have gotten many compliments on the style so that's a bonus..I will say they did take a whole day to break in and conform to my foot.. I would most definitely do some light hiking in these as well.

Amazing boots! Laced 'em up and took off for a day in town. Brought along an old pair of Docs just in case there was a problem. There wasn't! Wore them all day on paths, on the street and behind the wheel. Perfect on all three. They're light weight but supportive. Solid base but they're maneuverable. This is my first pair of Zams and if they keep delivering, it won't be my last. They've got the great look of old school mountain hikers but they're agile, not stiff. The chestnut brown color is gorgeous. I'm surprised that a person can get a pair of Italian made hikers of this quality for less than $300.00. FWIW, they are a wee bit roomy but not what I'd call a half-size. I wear 9.5-10, 41 Mephisto, El Naturalista and Birks, UK 7 Docs. I may have been able to go down to a 9, but figure it's easy to "sock up" or put in a heel pad if I need to. Well done Zamberlan and Zappos. ZZ tops!

Love these boots, bought them for day hiking and they have been working great so far. I generally wear a size 7 or 7.5 and the size 7 fit me perfectly. They give me sure footing even on sandy/wet terrain. With running shoes I tend to get a bit of a heel slip and have to utilize the heel lock lacing technique to counteract it. With these Zamberlan Trail Lite EVO I have no heel slip! The heel pocket is deep and well shaped to keep my foot in place.

These boots are amazing. Highly recommend. Would purchase again. Purchased as a last-minute replacement for a walking trip in Scotland. 95 miles on the West Highland Way. I barely had time to break them in - maybe 10 miles or so. I did a number of extra waterproofing treatments before we left. They are so comfortable. Required very little break in time. I got a couple of blisters on one heel - but I attribute that to my own anatomical variations, not the boots. I did add Dr. Scholls inserts for a little additional support. But that's because we had such a long hike ahead of us. We had rain - I stayed dry. We walked on cobbled roads - a lot, scrambled over rocks and roots. The boots were great - great ankle support. In fact - I said more than once "I feel like these were made for my feet".

I take size 7 or 7.5 but only 6.5 was available. It's a little too small but perfect in every other way--good toe box (deep and not pointy), relatively flat insole (no intrusive arch support) and comfortable at ankle. I'm hoping my size comes back in stock soon. My pair had red laces (not my taste at all)--the white ones are much more attractive IMHO.

Let me first start off by saying that you get what you pay for. I’ve tried on 8 pairs of hiking boots from Zappos and another retailer. These were number 7 and they fit like a glove, not too bulky, tons of ankle support, I didn’t feel restrained and stifled in them, cushiony footbed, tons of toe box room, gorgeous design, traditional red hiking boot laces. So cute and so comfy and not too warm. PERFECTION. I am an 8.5/39 in shoes, 9 in sneakers/winter boots. Their 41/9 fit perfectly. Their Italian sizing translation is way odd though… a 9 is typically a 39.5, an 8.5 is typically a 39… here is comparison between them and Oboz Bridger. anyway these are definitely worth it.

I am so thankful I discovered ZAMBERLAN Trail Lite EVO GTX on Zappos, while reading online reviews during Covid. I upgraded my worn-out boots--Salomon, made in China--to Zamberlan--HAND CRAFTED IN ITALY. Wow, what a difference! I only wish I had discovered these before I hiked Mt Blanc (2018) and Camino de Santiago (2019). The comfort and support are beyond amazing. And the quality is EXCELLENT. Even my walking performance has improved. I am forever sold on Zamberlan. These boots are the ABSOLUTE BEST. Highly recommended! Your feet will thank you every step of the way.

Great, high quality hiking boot. Felt molded to my foot right out of the box. I usually wear 8.5 in most brands and got this boot in the same size. It fit perfectly. I definitely appreciate the lacing system in place here. The only (very minor) caveat was that the boots came with burgundy red laces instead of advertised white ones. I don’t mind the switch, but would’ve appreciated a heads-up somewhere in the description.

I’m writing this review so that you know you will probably receive boots that do not look as pictured. I was surprised to find that the boots had red laces, not white. And they do NOT come with “two pairs” of laces, as described. They come with one: red. Zappos is normally great with customer service. I ordered a purse that was different from the photo and they refunded me for it, without asking for it back! I still returned it, but it was super nice of them to offer. With this purchase, I did not have a similarly good experience. I emailed to ask for white laces to be mailed to me, and they just went ahead and unilaterally started a return, without asking, which was irritating. I know how to do a return and would have started one, myself, if that’s what I’d wanted! I like to have UPS pickup, but now there’s a non-pickup return label on the account, so they pretty much destroyed my chance of returning, with pick up, if I ultimately decide not to keep them. I probably won’t bother exchanging, since it turns out other reviewers have had a similar experience (receiving boots with red laces, only). And I don’t want to go through re-ordering, just to get another pair with red laces. So that’s the other reason I’m reviewing: know that you probably don’t have an option for white laces, if you received red. I had to order a pair directly from Zamberlan ($12!), so I’ll see how that works out and whether I want to keep them, once I receive the new laces. As far as fit, I’m a 7-7.5, and ordered a 7, and they seem true to size. No rubbing, but I’ve only worn them around the house. Cute, not the sleekest, but not too bulky. The color is a good choice for summer. I also like that they don’t have the annoying “Vibram” label on the toe. It’s still there, but slightly less conspicuous, on the side.

These are awesome boots. Very comfortable and exactly what I am looking for. Unfortunately, even though the Zappos site shoes them with natural colored laces, and states that the boots ship with two sets of laces (also confirmed on the Zamberlan site), the pair that Zappos shipped to me had only the red laces. Will return. Thanks!

These boots are top notch! Very high quality and so very comfortable right out of the box. Plenty of toe room, can’t wait to go hiking and try them out!

I had a pair of Zamberlain boots for 20+ years. After trying on few other brands of boots and always ended with sore feet, I knew I had to buy Zamberlain (from another store :) Sooooo glad I did. I have very wide feet, and need very wide toe box. I knew this pair does not have that, but I could count on Zamberlain to have the quality in everything else. I used my boot stretcher to stretch them, also walked around the house with double layers of thick socks after heating up the inside briefly over steam. Couple hot spots on the first hike (8 miles), but I was prepared. Took another 2 short hikes to break in before a 13 miles, ending with no hot spots, no blisters, and no sore feet. The boots are lite weight yet very sturdy, grippy, and comfortable. They took a 3 mile through rocky scree like a champ.

I am always a 39 EU, but these are not true to EU sizing; also, UK reviewers said they were sizing up one half to one size. I sized up a half an EU size, but needed my larger US size, and may even need a half size larger US than usual, which is an enormous EU size for me. So, 8-8.5 in US size should go with the 8.5 or even a 9, and my advice is to ignore the EU sizing. (Sometimes Italian sizing is smaller than a normal EU size; Fermanis also run a size smaller than normal.

Compared to my other boots, I like this one the best. Hanwag Bergler has double stitched soles and full leather lining vs. Gortex, for me, that is a plus, but vert stiff toe box. Lowa Tanak, old model, higher up and more snug at the ankles. Asolo, I forget the type, very well made. But this boot has that classic good look with the red lace. Very comfortable from the fist wear. Well made, laces slide easy. Wish it had a better gusset and more of a snug fit on the ankles.

I have not hiked in these yet. Just wearing them around the house for now. I love Zamberlan boots. I bought my first pair of Zamberlan's 20 years ago and I still have them today! My feet are wide and these seem wide enough for me. Very soft and I feel like there is going to be a very short, if any, break in time. I thought I read that they come with two pair of laces but mine only had the red ones. It's fine--I don't think I would have used the white ones with these boots.

I purchased the Zamberlan Trail Lite EVO GTX to take with me on a trip to Israel and Jordan where Masada and Petra are on the tour. I was told the area is rough! I chose these boots based on the great appearance and fact that they are light weight. These boots are great. They are made with superior quality as the outcome. They are comfortable, true to size and width, and have good arch support. They are worth the money and as beautiful as a hiking boot can hope to be. Thank you Zappos.

Fit was excellent and true to size, very comfortable and are very light for a hiking boot

Really nice boots, but too restrictive and narrow in the toe box.

There was no break-in time; they felt comfortable right out of the box after I exchanged them for a half size larger. I always wear a size 8, so it was disappointing that I had to get a half size larger. I have very high arches and have a hard time finding shoes and boots that will fit, but I commented to someone that they felt like slippers compared to what I was expecting.

Too small in my regular size. My toes were hitting the end within minutes and this would cause a lot of problems if I were to hike even a mile in these. I have ordered a whole size up and hope that works!

Comfortable fresh out of the box. Plan to use them on multi day backpacking trip and will update review.

Working for the Brown shipping giant, boots are a priority for several reasons, Comfort, support, longevity and style. I must say I love these boots they fit what I need in a boot perfectly.. would def but a back up pair great shoes and very well made..
