Great small bag. Carries my Lenovo x260, Moleskine (large) notebooks in the two pockets, small cell charging battery, couple pens, and some papers in the zipper pocket. If/when I need to carry more, I'll switch to another bag.

This Transit Briefcase is lean and mean. Its slim design makes it easy to move from one appointment to the next with everything I need at my fingertips. The main compartment is big enough. The flat pockets (business cards, etc) are spacious enough. The rear laptop/big iPad slot in the rear is wide enough. The Transit Briefcase is everything I need without too much of anything. I tried several options until I found this little guy, and I love it. It is perfect for my on-the-go outside sales daily routine... plus it has the quality and backing of the Timbuk2 brand.

I love this bag. It’s a professional looking bag that is also durable. I like all the pockets and it’s not too heavy. The only change I would make is it was just a little wider but that’s it! I recommend this bag.

My husband and I fight over who gets to use this. He loves it for work. He does prefer his Chrome messenger for commuting on his bike, better weight distribution. This one is so versatile, love the hidden zipper on the flap and then zipper on the back on the outside as well as the strap to add on top of a carry on. So many little useful design add-ons, and somehow, now, indispensable. Makes me mad if another bag doesn't have them. Please make one a little more stylish and I'll use it instead of my LV at the mall!

This is a well made, well designed, bag that you can take to the office. It doesn't hold much, but if you're looking for a small minimal carry for your essentials, this is for you. It's exactly what I was looking for. No complaints.

Perfect size for me. If you're the type of person that loves to carry so much stuff, get a larger bag.

I've been looking for a smaller lightweight laptop bag for traveling. Has just enough room for what's needed for my meetings. The front pockets are big enough for chargers, wallet, sun glasses, etc.. There's a back compartment for a notebook. Very happy with the purchase.

Holds exactly what I need for street outreach including a small nalgene, a narcan kit, 2 phones and my notebook. I've found commuter bags too big to lug around walking all over the city. The transit bag is exactly the right size.

I use this bag as one of my 'daily to work' bags, mainly carrying my iPad Pro and 11" Lenovo Yoga in it. It's a PERFECT size for my small, daily computing devices - but not much more. This is exactly what I was looking for when making the purchase.

I absolutely love this bag. It fits my laptop and all my essentials. I am a minimalist, so it works perfectly for me, but people who like to carry lots of stuff might prefer a classic messenger. I would buy this bag again and again - though I won't need to, because T2 bags last forever. Thx!!

I originally bought the Command messenger bag. It was nice but too large. I sent it in and got the Transit bag. I really like it. It's small enough to be practical. It holds my Macbook pro, 13". Not lots of pockets, but that's sorta ok. It looks great, too.

This "Mini Messenger" is good for quick trips around town when you don't need a full-size messenger and just have a few papers. A manila folder is a tight fit but loose letter-size sheets fit easily. Legal-size papers: not so much.

This is a nice sleek bag, but it could be a little larger and easier to access. The average 15" (diagonal) laptop does not fit in the zipper pocket. It should fit in the main compartment, but then there is no room for anything else. Basically, make this a little deeper, wider and longer, and you have a greater bag. Maybe could even move the side pocket on the front flap, to the top. This way you can securely get at your items without feeling like they may drop or slip out. The AL secure loop is a little too difficult to get into and out of, I'd make that easier, a magnet would be ideal. The flap could even be shorter...(I want to be a bag designer...can you tell?)
I'd also recommend:
Peak Design, Samsonite (believe it or not), Victorinox, Tumi

Was waiting to buy this until new colors/materials came out and the Jet Black Static - 400D Static Polyester is really nice - well worth the wait. With that said, it's just a little too small. My 13" Macbook Air barely fits in and it is a bit of a pain to get it in and out of the laptop pocket. Just 1" wider woudl have made all the difference. (Note, I can fit my ipad in the same pocket). Also, I'm a relatively light traveler but it barely is able to carry the essentials of a daily traveler (charger, mouse, couple of cables, HDMI adapter, business cards, Bose Quietcomfort - without its case). If I'm ok with not fully securing the flap, I can just stuff a light 1/4 pullover with it all. If it were just 3/4"-1" wider and maybe 1/2" deeper, it would be the perfect case.

nice bag. a little smaller than expected. a 3 ring binder barely fits. very comfortable. latch is a little difficult to use, but the velcro works just as well, so i never use the latch.

I love this slim, steam-lined bag for quick business trips. I can fit my Macbook Air 13" in the padded sleeve and get it out easily from the back panel zipper pocket when I'm going through security. I love the front pocket that is fuzzy inside--it fits my iPhone 7 with plenty of extra space for my chapstick so I always have it handy. the shoulder strap has plenty of padding and I can put all the notebooks I travel with along with pens, chargers, etc. in the organization panel and extra pockets. My only gripe is that the metal buckle on the front is a bit tough to unclip. I don't use it much because the velcro is so strong, but it'd be nice if it was a little easier to slide into the loop.

The Transit makes a great smaller cousin to the the command messenger. It has a similar styling but in a smaller package. The small pocket on the flap comfortably fits an Iphone 7 and keeps it close by for easy and quick access. This bag is great for carrying my 13 inch chromebook, I love the luggage pass through it makes it super easy to fly with and it fits under the seat real easily. It is small and slim, so it is not great if you like to carry a ton of stuff as it will quickly fill up. The slim profile is really useful when going on a crowded

I am a petite woman and looking for a business-friendly slim briefcase for just my laptop and a few papers, on those days I don't need all the space of my backpack. I thought this would be perfect; and it is near perfect. Except the dedicated laptop compartment is super snug. A 13 mac laptop fits, but my work Dell (which is a new model, but not as streamline as the mac) does not fit. It was a huge bummer. I guess this is the downside of a dedicated laptop compartment, as my laptop fits in all other "13 inch" bags (including, interestingly, a Timbuk2 sleeve). Also, note that the "moss" is basically a dark grey not really green, and there is not as much texture as shown in the picture. My hunt continues.

I ordered this bag to replace an old worn-out messenger bag. This one was advertised as a laptop bag that will accommodate a 13 in laptop. When I received it, I immediately realized that while the padded laptop compartment is big enough for a 13 in laptop, the zipper for the compartment is sized for a 12.5 in laptop. I can get my Lenovo Ultrabook in and out only with a major struggle. This is a poor design, pure and simple. What really infuriated me was the return policy. Timbuk2 deducted $8 for a "label fee". The article was not as advertised - I expected a full refund, not a partial one. I will not buy from Timbuk2 again.

Waited a long time to pull the trigger on buying this. Finally your Xmas sale persuaded me. Got the Fog color, because I have been looking for a really sharp looking light colored bag. HOWEVER, the Fog color is not as light as the website photo, it's a darker muddier grey. Worse, the fabric is rubbery-feeling, gross and confusing. Is it coated? It feels like it's going to pick up color from everything, like a rubber eraser. Super awful. So, I think even though it was on sale, like really on sale, it's going back. Overall, Timbuk2 quality has really cratered as far as I'm concerned. One highlight, and also confusing, is that the strap is generously long--totally unlike your messenger bags, which have really gone short strapped. Another reason why I am looking to other bags.
