I waited until the week before my daughter went back to school to buy her school shoes... which ended up being a problem as the pair I bought her before was already sold out. Other similar shoes had a mix of reviews for quality and not lasting the full school year. Then I saw Doc Marten's and thought, "well of course that would be awesome, but I'm not spending that much on kid's shoes". Then I saw the price. These shoes were around the same price and even in some cases cheaper than the other shoes I was looking at. Sold! My 7 year old needs help with the buckles some times, but is getting better every week. Her old shoes would sometimes slide around if she was rushing in the rain, and I reminded her of that recently, then had to take that back since that's no longer an issue with these shoes.

Purchased these for my daughter after she wore holes in the school shoes we purchased in September. These wear like iron — no worry about holes forming before she grows out of them. I was concerned that they would look too clunky with her uniform but they look terrific, just the right mix of utility and style. She loves them. A bit tricky doing the buckles the first few times but now she has the hang of it.

Fit well and very cute however in a little over a month the whole front peeled. Never had this happen with a dr marten shoe ever. Zappos is kind enough to replace with a new pair. Hoping it was just a defective shoe.

I got these for my daughter as a Christmas present. She loves them. They are comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful craftsmanship you expect of Dr Martins. Had to exchange for size and that was super easy of course with Zappos. The new pair fits perfect and she loves them.

my 7 yr old loves her Dr Martens! after 4 pairs of mary jane's, these were the only one's that didn't go back. an appropriate amount of room to grow into, supportive & comfortable. this is her 2nd pair of Dr Martens & def won't be her last!

This is our 2nd pair of Dr. Martens Mary Jane for our little girl. They are so sturdy and durable, perfect for running and playing on the school playground. The 1st pair lasted the entire school year. These are our goto shoes for school uniforms.

This is the second pair of Dr. Martens Mary Janes we have purchased for our daughter and so far they have worked great. Each time we purchased a full size down from her normal shoe size and that seems to work. At first our daughter was shying away from wearing these because there is definitely a break-in period you have to go through. At first they may be a bit uncomfortable but after wearing for awhile they are great and the best part about them is that they are more or less indestructible. Our daughter wore her first pair all of the time for a year and a half and they still look new. Plus I think these are just cool looking shoes for a girl. Very stylish and very affordable. Quality is fantastic! We recommend to anyone needing this kind of shoe.

They are just as I expected Dr. Martins to be still a great shoe I expect to last well beyond the time they will still fit her feet. Daughter loves these and has been wearing them to break them in before school starts.

The shoes are a little heavy which is expected w the Dr martin heal. Overall loved the shoes for my daughter for school!

loved it. just need one size up

My daughter (10yrs old) and I loved these shoes when we first got them. These were supposed to be her primary school shoes. The size and fit is great. They are comfortable and super cute. She is able to wear them throughout the school day without any issue (she's starting 5th grade, so mainly hanging out with her friends... no rough playing). The buckles are a bit hard to put on, but with a bit of time, they've stretched out and soften. Unfortunately, my GREAT issue is that the first week she wore them (which was September 5th), the shoe scuffed. A big chip/paint scuffed. So now, one shoes (left one), looks like she's had it for quite sometime. School just started and her shoes are ruined!!! I am so disappointment and she is so sad!!! The upper quality of these Dr. Martens are unfortunately poor. I regret buying these shoes.
