After a week of wear, the insoles started to breakdown.

I bought the size 5s for my 12 month old and loved them upon receipt- they were adorable and seemed like they’d be comfortable enough, were easy to slip on with the wider and boxier simple interior. Little to no arch support or any padding whatsoever on the footbed. I know that feeling the ground through shoes is important for early walkers, but this was really thin. I agree with other reviewers who said that the white material on toes scuffed within days (walking toddlers still crawl, and if not, they kneel toe down when they play!) and peeled within weeks or months. I also had similar experience with the tongue material bunching up and rippling up near the toes, which looked uncomfortable to me. I loved the look of these shoes but after my son outgrew these after 3 months of wear they looked like they’d been worn for years. Definitely NOT hand me down worthy, and I hate that a $40 pair of toddler shoes had to be thrown out after 3 months of mostly indoor wear. Definitely overpriced.

These shoes did not hold up to normal usage and showed excessive wear within a few days. A size 4 toddler shoe should be designed for walkers and crawlers, right? However, crawling caused tearing of the plastic in the toe area almost immediately. For a child's shoe of this cost, I would have expected a better product.

I was really excited about getting these shoes for my new walker. Unfortunately, they were just meh. They were his second pair of shoes and worn for about 2 months, but look like they were in use for a lot longer. They were cute right out of the box, but the quality is not good. The red fabric faded very quickly...it looks like the dye just rubbed off in several places. The front rubber covering the toes has a crease that makes them look really old after only wearing them a few times a week for a couple of months. I purchased with the thought that the next baby will be able to wear them, but these will only be used for the next one as play shoes because they already look so bad. For the price, I feel like these should have lasted a lot longer! In addition, my son did not seem to walk very well in them. He tripped a lot in these, but when wearing other shoes we was much steadier. Not sure why this would be, but as soon as I moved to a different pair of shoes he wasn't tripping as much. Overall these were cute, but the quality and function certainly don't justify the price I paid. FYI, they also run on the small side. The size 5 seemed closer to a 4 or 4.5 in a lot of other toddler shoes. Very disappointed.
