Shout out to the 2 previous reviewers who suggested to order a size smaller. I am a 40 and ordered a 39 in these. The 39 fit perfectly and have room for my orthotics. Interesting, when removing the Ecco liner to make room for the orthotics, the liner reads "39/40". So, these seem to be running large. Style is fabulous, comfort is fabulous, and I love the minimalist design to these shoes. Very satisfied with these sneakers.

The previous reviewer is correct, unfortunately these run a full size too large. I'm a true size 7, which can be a 37 or 38 depending on the brand, and with these the 38 was about an inch too long in the toe and made my feet look huge. The leather is gorgeous with a pebbled finish, and they are very comfortable, so I will be re-ordering in the smaller size.

This shoe looks & feels great! The soft black leather is kind to my feet, and the same can be said for the bottom. It's constructed quite well. I dislike wearing sneakers while walking around in NYC streets. This Ecco style has the comfort of an athletic shoe and is hip enough for this town. Ecco shoes seem to be one size bigger for me. I would normally but 39 ( and I did), but I exchanged for 38, and the fit is perfect. Thanks to Zappos customer service, the exchange was quick & fluid.

I LOVE this shoe, looks great with skinny jeans, joggers or leggings. So comfortable too, will definitely take these on my European trip in a few weeks. I am a true size 7 so I ordered the 38 (7-71/2) it was an entire size too large. Reordered the size 37 and the fit is perfect. Thank you Zappos for your wonderful exchange policy.

I saw these on my trip to Italy and thought, I had to have them; because I've been looking for a pair of comfortable blue mid-top sneakers with support. So when I got back to NYC I went straight online and got them. They are so look comfortable! And I noticed that some customers has issues with sizing. Fyi....For european sizing you must always size up one. A size 38 is not a US size 8, a size 39 is not a US size 9. I don't know why everyone makes this mistake. But a 38 is a 7, a 39 is a 8, a 40 is a 9...etc. But get these as you will not regret it!

I took other reviewers suggestions and choose a size smaller than I usually wear. Great advice! Shoes fit great, I added an upscale insert to make them supportive and comfortable. I think these will be one of my favs!

Liked the look and feel; nice leather but too narrow.

I went with previous reviews that said these ran large, but for me they were too small. I usually have to size up one size with ECCO shoes, and I should have gone by my own experience. Other than being too small for me, these shoes are really well-made, have great support, are great-looking on, and the leather is super soft, but they don't have much cushion in the sole.

I wish these came in half sizes or different widths! These shoes are exactly what I was I was looking for, casual but sharp too. I ordered both the grey and black, and I would say the grey is a little darker in person that it looks here. Unfortunately I had to send them all back because the sizing didn't work for me. I'v tried other Eccos and these ran big even compared to other shoes of the same brand. I usually wear a US 8.5-9 and the 39 was too big. The 38 was so close but a little tight. My foot is on the wide size though, so if you have a narrow foot, size down and you'll love them!

These have excellent arch support for what they are. I find they are true to European sizing, maybe a bit bigger. I'm a 6 (sometimes 6.5) in US and a 36 pretty consistently in European sizing and the 36 fit me well. As others have said, these are very comfortable. I do have just one issue where it rubs a bit on the top of my right foot, but it's more of a discomfort than anything painful. I'm hoping it will ease up with the leather over time.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I have several pair of the soft 7 sneakers, and have worn them on 2 European trips, they are great for lots of walking. These high tops don't bend properly with my foot, the leather actually pushes down onto the base of my big toes in a hard crease. It was painful right away just trying to wear them in the house. Sadly, they had to be returned.

Really cute shoes, but too small. Had to send them back but will try the next size up.
