This is the second pair I have purchased. They provide good support and comfort. I go through 3-4 pairs a year and will continue to use these.

Fit and responsiveness are great. I was expecting just a bit more cushioning.

This is the first pair of Bew Balance shoes that have the fresh foam in them, and I love it. It's much more soft than a normal shoe and I've had less foot pain after running in these than I do other shoes. The one problem I already see, though, is that the stitching is already starting to come loose on the side of the shoe, not that bad though.

A Little snug in toe box compared to other NB shoes. O/W, I enjoyed running them.

Though a bit tight, these are the best, most comfortable shoes I have put on in years.

I've worn every version of the 1080 since it's inception. I have narrow feet, high arches and a neutral gait and the 1080 has been the only shoe that has ever worked well. Unfortunately there has been a lot of variance in the different iterations of the shoe. The V3 and V4 were the absolute best. The V5 ran narrow and small and with the V6 NB changed the approach angle of the shoe to 7 degrees and now with the V7 they have gone to 8 degrees. It still works for me but this really isn't a 1080 but essentially a new design much different than earlier versions.
The V7 is noticeably smaller and narrower than the V6 predecessor...its obvious just laying them next to each other. I have very narrow feet and can't imagine a normal width person liking these but they work great for my situation. Requires a break in period, at least for me as all the variants have. They are like running in Dutch wooden clogs for about the first 25 miles then the soften up and are very nice.

I skipped the v2 of this shoe. The original version (v1) was may favorite shoe and I bought three pairs just to have them for a few years. This was exclusively a long run shoe for me. The v3 lost something that the original hand. Feels less cushioned and slightly larger overall (for the same size). Otherwise, still a great shoe with excellent build quality.

Just got them and out of the box they seemed little snug. Went for a 3 mile walk to start break in stage and shoes felt good. Will use on a 3 mile fartlek run later this week or test and tune first run.

Been using New Balance shoes for decades. I own some US made 1300 and 574s and was skeptical about the shoes. I recently got seriously into running so I wanted a pair exclusively for that. I couldn't be happier. These shoes are unlike the retro NBs which are really cushioned... I was surprised at how minimal they were but it's only after I started logging miles that you realize the beauty of the shoe. They are truly performance shoes which feel fast and improve with speed and distance. It's the first pair I've owned that felt they wanted to go faster. Probably fantastic up to a half marathon given their lightness. Another plus is that they look very modern but somehow preserve a traditional NB silhouette. The Orange ones are awesome!!

It's a god shoe, but, not indicated if the floor is wet. It has no traction in that condition.
Cushion is god. i think it has a problem and its related with the control.
I'm a 51 years old runner.

If your going to make the newer versions fit smaller than the previous ones then you need to come out with a 13.5 because a 13 is too small but a 14 is too big.
Also the shoe is firmer than the v6 which is good for durablity and stablity but bad for cushioning. IF YOUR BUYING THIS SHOE BECAUSE THE LAST ONE WAS SOFT THIS ONE IS NOT AS CUSHIONED.
Toe Box also seems to be wider on this v7 even more so than the v6. Still a good runner but needs a few more tweaks. Plus half sizes all the way up or consistency on size.

Good but pricey for running shoes. They gave me blisters the first few weeks when jogging or running.

I have a very wide foot (4E) and a high arch. I am usually a Brooks fan but decided to switch to NB after a bad experience. These do not have as much room in the toe box as Brooks, and I developed nasty callouses after about a month. There's also not as much support in the heel area. A decent shoe (and it looks great), but not great. Would not buy again.

Ordered these to replace 1080v6 I have worn over a year. 1080v6 was worn exclusively in Europe, Couldn't be happier. v7 is shorter and narrower. I wear a 9.5 4E and these were unusable. Do not understand why quality control seems to have declined in NB. I have worn NB for years due to wide feet. I am returning and trying a different shoe suggested by customer service. Thank heaven for Zappos return policy.

the shoes i ordered simply did not fit like my other pair of foam series shoes which was a huge disappointment. I had to switch them out for a pair of 840 v3 and received store credit to my account. I also am a tester with you guys, i do 7 miles a day and have not received one thing for me to test in almost a 1 and half , I'm dissappointed :-( Bobby

I had ordered Fresh Foam shoes before and I expected the same snug fit but these do not fit that way. The top is a loose fabric. And any rain goes right through it. Its as if I'm wearing sandals.

I have a short, wide foot with a high arch and tender feet. I purchased these shoes one half size longer and at the 4 E width. They felt snug. I purchased a true sized NB 990v4 and they fit fine...This one is made in China, the one I am keeping (990v4) is made in the USA.

Great looking shoe but had to go up a full size - from a 14 to a 15 - to make it work. Zappos made it easy to do an exchange to get the larger size with the only downside being the extra time for it to arrive. Zappos did provide one day shipping at no extra cost for the replacement.

I wanted to love these shoes because I have some NB trail shoes I like a lot and NB are US made and the colors are awesome ... but I found the foam soles to be very stiff and didn't feel cushioned. And even though I got a 2E wide which fits me in other shoes, these were a touch too narrow. I'll try more NB in the future but for now back to my Cumulus.

Ran in 1080s for years and loved them - finally tried to like these "Foam" soled shoes but they hurt my feet. Why? The former terrific & complex/costly sole was replaced by a cheap and inflexible "foam" brick. Suggest trying on a pair yourself of course, then try on some 880s which are far superior tho not quite as nice as the old 1080s IMO.

I really wanted to love this shoe. The cushioning is plush, feels great under foot. Unfortunately after about 3 miles of my first and only run in them the seam from the stitching on the overlay started rubbing a blister on the inside of my left foot at the base of my big toe. This only got worse and by the end of 5 miles it was a full blown blister. Why the stitching/seam? Seems unnecessary. Wonder if anyone else has had this issue? Had to return them, which I hated to do because I loved everything else about this shoe.
