Customer Reviews New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v7

Love the Fresh Foam line! I was an Asics Gel Nimbus freak for many years, but this shoe is my new fave. Great support and great look. I wear these for work or 5-mile walks. New Balance really has their act together. Even their golf shoes are spectacular!

Being a New Balance runner for more than 40 years, this shoe is one of the best ever for my feet. Size is very good, very comfortable from the start, roomy toe box, ventilation in the fore foot better than any previous shoe and no heel slippage when laced properly. I could not be happier.

I have used the v5 and v6. The new version has great cushioning. My heel feels great. But they are a bit narrower than former versions. I wear a 9 4E which is about a half size larger than my feet. For me the cushioning makes up for being a bit narrower at the front of the shoe. I would buy them again. Sort of bummed the price dropped so fast but do t blame Zappos. The color, blue, is a bit bright but I have gotten use to it.

Easy fit for my spouse from day one. Walking with these shoes on offers good support and comfort for him. He plans to wear them while walking in Europe. He has worn them walking hills in our little Maine town. All in all good purchase.

Best 1080’s yet

I’m a big fan. After gaining some weight back and beginning to run again after injury, I found that my go-to shoes (Asics Nimbus and Altra Olympus) had been changed enough I didn’t like the available models anymore. I did a lot of research and landed on the 1080v7 after months of trial and error with Mizuno Wave Riders, Altra Paradigms, and Brooks Glycerin (though a smaller size in the Glycerin might have worked). These shoes are rather inflexible, but I think that’s fantastic. My feet are pretty stiff, too, so yeah. The best part is that the Upper has mesh in the toe box, but keeps a little more structure around the lace eyelets and midfoot. That’s what I loved about my previous shoes because that structure really helps keep my feet in place and doesn’t stretch too much. I am sending the 9.5s back to get a 2E width because I have thick feet, but I have no doubt that I will be sticking with the v7 for at least this training season and seeing what the v8 has to offer. If you’re a New Balance newbie like I was, I may be a convert now from an Asics/Altra addict. And that’s saying a lot.

Nice and light. Very soft and good cushion for my peripheral neuropathy. I wish they came in a basic white without the bright colors
