Great pair of shorts for traveling and the cottage. Just enough pockets to hold what you need and could still get by at the casual restaurant.

Ferrosi long pants have been my favorite for years. Voodoo pants seem to be an improvent over those (in part because recent models of Ferrosi have lost all but one zippered pockets). The shorts are great. Very comfort with a tight fit that suits me well. Three zippered pocket. I have already ordered the long pants version now.

My first pair of these shorts lasted 8 years of heavy use. In that time I was impressed with their durability. I succeeded in nicking them, but due to their design, the nick never became anything more. The side pocket eventually wore out, and now I'm onto my second pair. Couldn't be happier with the product quality and customer support. Keep up the good work!

I've read complaints that these fit snug. To be fair, they are supposed to: they're slim fit technical shorts for the sporting type. If you want more room I'd try the Ferrosi shorts, which are a lot more spacious (I tried Wadi Rum and Ferrosi). Too much so for me: I'm 6'1" and 178 lbs, with skinny cyclist legs. I'm not necessarily skinny, but fairly lean. And I like a *slightly slimmer* fit. At least I often struggle to find clothes that don't feel like I'm putting on a parachute. These are the inspector gadget of shorts: they're some of the most aggressively functional clothes I've ever owned, but they hide that function in a streamlined, around-town look. They're unequivocally the best shorts I've ever owned. They stretch, they're durable, I've worn them hiking, biking, running, swimming, around town, working out in the gym, and even sleeping. They're extremely comfortable and functional without that overtly technical look--they're technical shorts in disguise. If I wear them out, I'll buy another pair. If I need to expand my color palette, I'll buy another pair. Heck, I'll even forego buying other clothes that don't match these shorts well enough. LOVE!

Great overall shorts. Material is comfortable and very stretchy. The waist is a little on the large size but I think this goes on with most of OR product. I feel most of their clothing are designed for taller/slim people. To get a good waist size these shorts would be too tights elsewhere. So I need to wear a belt with these, no biggie. For people shopping on line it'd be great if OR could add more details and pictures. The poetry in the description is ok but would be great to know these actually have a rear zippered pocket on one side and a open pocket on the other side. There's a snap button at the waist, not a regular one (which works for me!). The side pockets can fit one of the larger phones on the market (S8+ fits fine). They are a little pricier than the Ferrosi but those mentioned details make it worth the extra $... LOVE LOVE LOVE

Been searching for the perfect pair of casual/hiking/biking/backpacking shorts. Ive tried at least 4 of the more high end brands and these ones are the best when it comes to comfort, functionality and hopefully durability. As of now, would definitely recommend. Will be picking up more as long as this pair holds how I think they should.

I have not put these through the paces of a full day of hard activity. However, after wearing them for several days I really like the design, material and fit. They are not baggy but yet offer freedom of movement. I think I will be buying another pair.

Wore these all over hot and humid China . Very comfortable, great pockets, and fairly quick drying.

Awesome shorts! Fit great, feel great, look great. Light and breathable but also durable, they are definitely already one of my favorite pairs of shorts. Good colors that are unique but still feel true to the outdoors. The zipper side pocket and the zipper back right pocket keep your stuff secure and safe during a hike, and the regular side pockets are deep enough to keep easy access items from falling out. The legs are cut a little thinner than some comparable shorts which cuts down on bulk and is very nice for hiking while the stretch of the fabric allows for unhindered movement even during those large steps. Lightweight and very packable, these shorts will be going with me everywhere.

I have hiked 50 km with these shorts and used them for field work and they have been excellent. High quaility material, great range of motion and dry fairly quickly after getting wet. They are comfortable in all conditions.

Shorts really are the best ones I've ever owned hands down. I'm buying my second pair now. The voodoo has a slightly snug/trim fit so big leg dudes beware......may be better off with the ferrosi.

Bought these 2018 summer. I used them often for bike rides. I wear padded bike shorts beneath them. I would probably go 30" waist if I buy them again. I'm thinking they'll stretch with age. 32" are working good with a one of those Grip belts. I like the horizontal-zippered pocket for my phone. Ferrosi have a vertical-zippered pocket. I use those less. Waist size seems to vary with Voodoo. So comfortable for biking, hiking, light swimming/wading, running...

A bit too big, but next size down would have been too small...I'll need a belt for these.....oh well....

Ordered the 32" waist and these fit more like a 30 or 31 inch waist.

If I was to re-order the product I'd pick a longer model, 12" probably. I'll just use it as a bathing suit.

These shorts are great. They are light, soft, stretchy, breathable, and super comfy. My only issue is they are a touch skinny through the leg. I do have larger, athletic sized thighs but I would have hoped these would allow for a touch more room.

Great pair of shorts, would be 5 stars but they don't come in 12 inch. Fantastic material and a great short for colder days or hot.

Stitching came out of logo after first wear which was pretty disappointing because I was excited about the shorts the first time I tried them on.

If the leg openings were the same as the Ferrosi 10" shorts this would be almost perfect. Yet when I put these on before I get going down the trail they are already snug on my thighs; note I'm 5' 7" 168 lbs with a 31/32 inch waist. After a few miles they are riding up, not good. As such I only wear these when both pairs of my Ferrosi shorts are in the wash.

Shorts are great design. Good pockets, good shapes. Perfect shorts. But they seem too large in the waist. For a short that I might choose to go swimming with sometimes, a built in belt would be cool, or make some more in between sizes. the 34 is too small, the 36 is too big. I've found OR has big variation in sizing in the 36" waist of it's clothes. I have a number of items that were all 36" waists but vary by many inches...

Was looking for a comfortable pair of shorts to wear in the day time at the lower elevations of the Unitas. These are really tight on my thighs and crotch, binding in fact. The waist is true to size, they are light weight, and there are plenty of pockets, but if you have thighs built to go up hill with a load think again. I would recommend this to my less muscular friends.
