I bought 3's in Oct 2017. I'm a photojournalist and boots are vital to safety and to my work. I'm average size, 200#, but carry 25-35# of gear, 80% on pavement, 20% on terrain. These boots are comfortable; I broke them in very gradually, and they have been a pleasure to wear. They give good ankle support which is vital. But two problems. First, the durability of the soles is poor -- though every other part of the boots is in excellent condition, the soles are thinning, the lugs wearing off, and I am feeling the street or terrain more than I did. Second, the metal of the 3 top hooks is crap. It bends with any impact, preventing hooking the laces through the hook --and straightening it --which is unfortunately easy -- is ultimately going to make this dross metal break, which will render the boot less useful, or useless. Vasque should make these hooks of steel so they won't bend.
