I didn't realize "relaxed fit" meant "wide and loose", but maybe that was my mistake. I ended up pulling out the excess bungee cord, knotting it, and cutting off 4-5" of excess. Wish it were adjustable. The black/gray color has a bit of a blue tinge to it, so it looks odd when worn with black/gray that has a warm undertone. With the elastic cinched and thick socks, these are very comfortable, like slippers. If I walk in them for a long time, I get fatigue from my feet sliding around too much in them. They've held up really well considering how much I've worn them - I've had them for well over a year, and they still look glossy and new. I'd definitely consider buying Sketchers again, but not this style.

I was very disappointed with my order. I had already tried on the relaxed fit at another store and knew they were too big. When I ordered these there was no indication that these were the new relaxed fit or I would not have ordered them. Was there a mistake made or does your description just omit that they are the relaxed fit? I have had these in the regular size and loved them. But I have worn a hole in mine. So disappointed with this new relaxed fit!

I like the style but the fit is on the small side. The bungee chord is not an option to tighten or loosen as needed. It runs narrow and is hard to slip on. However the arch support is ok. I am just becoming less enthusiastic about Sketchers shoes. I really loved them over the years but lately I feel they are cheaply made. I feel bad about leaving a negative review but buyers beware.??
