Basic converse fit, daughter loves the unicorns and rainbow. Got dirty fast but that’s a given since they are white haha! Daughters 6 1/2 and got a size 12.5 as converse run just a tad big

I always order my daughters converse a full size smaller than I would for her Nike’s or other shoes. She’s 10 years old and normally wears a 4.5 right now, so I ordered these in a 3.5 and they fit great with even a little room to grow :). She LOVES them!

My daughter, 9, loved her pink high tops. She says they are comfortable. The material is a bit less pliable as it’s a synthetic plastic so it’s a bit of work getting them on. Otherwise, she’s happy with them.

Bought these in a size 4 for my daughter, they were a little big but we decided to keep them. The design is adorable, and looks cute with anything she wears.

Second try to get correct size: still enormous. On my first try I used the wrong size conversion chart. Learn from my mistake, people. When consulting the Zappos charts make sure to scroll all the way down, because while adult and youth sizes are similar, they are not the same. So, first order was wrong. My fault. HOWEVER, I would have ordered the wrong size anyway because I only just noticed that CONVERSE HAS ITS OWN SIZE CONVERSION CHART. But there is a bigger problem besides inconvenience, and it's their labeling. 1st--Daughter measures precisely 22.0 while wearing socks. (Zappos says to measure with socks.) Now we do the conversion: 2nd--According to Zappos, 22.0cm is a big kids size 4. I wanted a 1/4" allowance for growth so she's a Zappos 4.5. 3rd--According to Converse, a Zappos size 4.5 is a Converse size 4. 4th--I ordered the 4. So now we have the Converse size 4. The tag inside the tongue says "US 4, CM 22." Converse thinks this is a 4. Converse also thinks this measures 22cm. It isn't and it doesn't. THE TAG AND SIZING ARE NOT ACCURATE! I measured the inside with a flexible tape and the length is 24cm. Zappos says 24cm is a big kid 6 (women's size 8--my size). A Zappos big kid 6 converts to a Converse 5.5. Therefore, I received a shoes that measures at 5.5 but was tagged and sold as a 4. My daughter swims in them and they fit me perfectly. I am a women's size 8. So the problem is not with my measuring tape. They do size out at how they measure. The moral of the story is that I am disappointed to have spent my time shoe shopping, ordering, writing a review, managing the first exchange including re-boxing and taking to UPS, re-calculating size, managing a second exchange, writing a second review, and still I don't have shoes to show for my effort. That's a quite low return on investment. ZERO return on investment, in fact. I'm disappointed in Zappos for not noting on their size conversion page that some brands have their own charts. (They mention the brands that use European sizing. Why not mention the brands that have their own size conversions?) I'm disappointed in Converse for not sending shoes that match their labeling. I can't believe they haven't received enough criticism on this point to cause them to start labeling accurately. We are just going to put up with this? In case anyone is wondering about the styling and comfort: it is adorable and my daughter loves it. She actually cried when she found out we had to send them back. There is no arch support whatsoever, which is exactly what I expect from a Converse All-Star. They are slightly narrow. (Since they are my size I can tell you from personal experience.)

I ordered a size 5.5 for my girl and they fit my size 8 feet perfectly. (To be fair, it appears that Converse has their own size chart which is not noted nor accessible from the Zappos size conversion web page, ie THE ONE I USED. I only just saw it now when I went in to write this review. But I see that even if I'd consulted it I still would have ended up with too big shoes. Their sizing does not accurately reflect how much bigger-than-standard they actually are.) They are cute, though. They are flat as a pancake on the bottom inside and out (no arch support), which is exactly what I expected in a Converse All Star. ***Note to Zappos and shoe manufacturers: I ordered 4 pairs of shoes for my girl, 4 different makers, in sizes according to your size chart and taking into consideration reviews on fit AND ALL OF THEM WERE HUGE ON HER. I could wear every single pair I bought her. To review--I am a size 8 and my daughter is a size 5 (coming into a 5.5). This was a major disappointment to her and there were actual tears when not one pair fit after all the time we spent "shopping" the site and anticipating the delivery; and it was a complete and utter waste of my time. Now I have to reorder (if they even come smaller) and then deal with the returns. NOT COOL Tsukihosi, Converse, Vans and Jambu. And NOT COOL Zappos. Duly noted.
