These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. Before vacation this month I ordered 3 pair of similar sandals to try and this pair won hands-down. They are very well made and look amazing but most importantly, super comfortable. I wore them everywhere on our vacation and never had a problem.

So I bought these sandals over a year ago in my normal size, 7. They are very comfortable and have a very nicely cushioned sole. I can walk in them all day without getting sore feet. I like the gladiator style. However, they are about an inch too long in the toe area and a little bit loose. I kept them anyway because they were cute and comfortable. After wearing them for a year, they loosened up (as shoes tend to do) and my feet just flop around in them too much. Because I liked them so much, and because they are still available, I ordered a new pair in the next size down, 6. Unfortunately these are too small. My toes are at the very end of the shoe, and they are too tight. If they offered a 6.5, I think that would have been fine for me. Overall, this is a great sandal. But without half sizes Born's sandals just don't work for me, as I have had this problem with other Born sandals.

Cute sandal that I wanted to like but the straps across the top of my foot, which are not adjustable, were too loose so the sandal felt like it was flopping around on my foot. Bummer.

I've had these for a year - super cute, comfortable and sturdy. As others have noted, the center strap isn't sewn or secured, so it slides across the instep. Problem solved with super glue :-)

I loved these sandals.....UNFORTUNATELY, 8 is too small and 9 is enormous! They only come in whole sizes. I am soooo sad ??

Style is great. Comfort could be a bit better.

VERY comfortable: in fact more comfortable then the Mai Gladiator sandals I ended up going with. I docked a point however because the leather was so much lighter than pictured.

These are very comfortable. I know that someone else wrote about the center leather strip "traveling" and not staying in the center of their foot, but I have not experienced that problem. I worn them right out of the box, on vacation, and no blisters, no sore feet. Born sandals are always so comfortable, and Zappos is awesome!

Take an 8.5 normally and the 8 fit well. looser around the ankle but doesn't rub. Extremely comfortable for long wear. No buckles to mess with - zip up back for easy on/off. Look cool but not clunky.

I love Born. These sandals are very comfortable. The only issue I have is that the center strap does migrate and sometimes I have to adjust it back during the day. The zipper helps to get the sandal on quicker rather than having to deal with a buckle. I have this sandals in all three colors!

These sandals are so attractive, and pretty comfortable. I wear a 10 1/2 and so I ordered the 11. They are really wide, and just a bit too loose. I ordered the 10 to compare, and while a bit shorter and tighter (still wide),I'm going to keep them, and hope they'll stretch out a little bit The leather is so soft, and the footbed is nicely cushioned. They look great with my cropped pants and shorts.

I wanted to love these shoes, but the left shoe, kept getting caught in the zipper, it was impossible to zip them up or zip them down without catching. I just couldn't justify the money to deal with that problem. I wanted to love them, they were PERFECT, felt like butter on my feet, but I had to send them back.

I have martens neuroma on a narrow, bony size 9ish foot and have been looking for something to wear in the summer or with shorts and dresses for 10 years, mostly unsuccessfully. I wear a leather padded metatarsal insert and do just fine. Never in my life have I been able to wear scrappy sandals. Always too big. I could get 6 of my fingers inside these straps with my foot. sole was surprisingly more flexible, for a born shoe. buckle was above the ankle. squeaked.

This is a great gladiator sandal and pretty comfortable. I'm torn because I have a similar lovely Clarks sandal almost identical to this, but this one is slightly more comfortable and it has the back zip which makes it easier to quickly get off and on. The Clarks sandal has 2 buckles that I usually start out wrong on (putting the bottom strap into the top buckle) and they're kind of a pain, so I'm always throwing on an old, beat-up pair of Soft gladiators I can slip on instead. The Clarks sandals were not cheap, so I'm feeling a bit guilty...but, oh well. I wear an 8 or 9 depending on the shoe/boot. I ordered these in 9, but they are too big and I'm sending them back for an 8. Thanks for the easy returns Zappos. It's like being in a shoe store!

It was a cute shoe and I wanted to keep it. But the back, where the zipper is, came up too high on my ankle and cut into the back of my leg. Sadly have to return these.

heavenly soft but no arch support. If need any arch support at all, this is not the sandal for you.

I have small narrow feet so size 6 seems to always fit but not with this one. Too big between top of my foot. Top strap rubbed on me wrong was disappointed. Did look good and comfortable just too big so returned them.

I really like these sandals. Unfortunately, after wearing them for m=not that long, they look very worn. Didn't even look good for a season...

Really cute shoes but they're going back. This style only comes in whole sizes; I normally wear a 7.5 so I ordered a 7. Should have chosen an 8 or possibly 8.5. Usually am able to go with the whole size on the lower side but not with these. Not sure I will re-order the larger ones.

Super cute sandal. The buckle at the ankle is an easy adjustment and helps the sandal fit fairly well. However, the straps around the middle of the foot( between your arch and ankle) is ill fitted. There needs to be a way to adjust those straps as well. Although, rather comfortable around the toe.

Now I know why I returned these after I tried them a few years ago. I thought maybe I was just deciding between them and another pair, but it turns out that the zipper closure in the back rubs on my upper heal. The other pair of Born sandals I’ve had for a few years, Angeles, also zip up the back but don’t rub at all. I really wanted to try to replace Angeles cause they’re getting pretty worn out but Born doesn't make them any longer. I also found Tripoli a little heavy looking compared to some Clark black gladiators I have. The Clark sandals have 2 buckles which is kind of tedious when you’re in a hurry, so I love the zip sandals—keeps me from running out of the house with flip flops on which I don’t think looks as nice as a sandal.

The positive: cushioning on footbed was nice. Otherwise, my experience matched other reviewers. For me this shoe is way too wide. Big around the ankle, across the front instep and in the heel. A little long, but not enough to try a size smaller. Going back.

Loved the way these looked, and the straps were super soft and comfortable out of the box, but the footbed just didn't work for me. I knew they didn't have enough arch support to be a comfortable everyday shoe, but the one day I tried to wear them, the squishy soles started making horrible squeaking noises as I walked around. As comfortable as they are, they're pretty much unwearable.

These are way too wide with no means to adjust (except for the strap around the ankle.) The center piece is not made to stay in place and instead moves around. The material was real leather, so the fact that the overall design of the shoe was cheaply made is very disappointing. Cuter online than in person.
