I tried on the men's version of this shoe in the store and it fit much better. I found this shoe to run quite narrow and short. I wanted the shoe to improve toe splay and I don't think these would be any better than my Brooks. I am returning for a Torin.

I hoped I would love these shoes. The color is really cute. I ordered them because I love the Provision 2.5s but hate all the colors they come in. Unfortunately, the Provision 3 is narrower at the forefoot than the Provision 2.5, which fits me perfectly. My foot feels stuffed into the Provision 3.

I ordered a full size above what I usually do due to the reviews saying it was too small and turned out for me to be a full size too big

These shoes are very cute and in general I love the foot-plan of Altras - I wanted to love them. The forefoot like most Altras is a dream of comfort, and I liked the material and colors. However, not only were they a full size too small (I ordered a half size larger based on reviews - not enough) but they have a hard plastic band that wraps around the heel and that I could feel pressing on my heel when I walked. I have medium width feet, definitely not wide since I wore narrow shoes all through my teen years, but these were too narrow for me in the heel, and can't imagine they would work for anyone with even slightly wide heels. In contrast, I recently purchased a pair of Altra Escalantes, and they ran a full size larger than these (a salesperson had warned me Altras are all over the map with regard to sizes - new company?) They are so comfortable it felt like a religious experience putting them on, and after weeks of wearing I love them. I'll stick with the Escalantes for walking/run-around shoes for now.

This is my 4th Provision Altra. I have loved these shoes and because of my wide toe box they have been great BUT these are more narrow than my previous shoes and from walking in them I have a blister on my bunion---not fun. I hate to send them back and do not know what to order now but I can't deal with this!

I tried these and the Intuition 4s. These were much better looking (silver/blue) but much less comfortable. The back of the heel hurt almost immediately, just standing in them. They seem to pinch at the achilles and the Intuitions did not. I ended up returning both for too much padding for comfort in the uppers. I am used to more minimal shoes. I liked the cushioned but zero drop sole and unlike the Inutitions, the laces in these were plenty long enough. Nice wide toe box. I would have kept these if not for the problem with the back of the heel. I've had this problem with other runners so it isn't necessarily a defect, just a design that doesn't work with my feet.

This shoe run's very small. I ordered an 11 and it was a little short. I wear a 9 1/2 or 10 in a regular shoe

I used to love Altra shoes but these shoes started falling apart immediately. I will not be ordering them again. Very disappointed.

These shoes are very narrow from the mid-foot to the heel. I thought they had cushion, nice arch support and the toe box could have had a smidge more room but overall toe box was decent. I tried this brand a couple years ago and they were not this narrow.
