Color of product is much darker than portrayed on-line.

I love these shirts, and wear them all winter long. But every one I've owned has worn through on the elbows within a few months. So disappointing because otherwise they are great.

It's just okay, nothing great about this overpriced base layer.

I used to wear the old style, with set-in sleeves, all the time as a classy-casual top. I travel a lot and it was wonderful. The quality of the fabric remains great, but I now wear the base layers as base layers only, sadly. Beautiful color!

I miss the previous 100% Merino shirts, same design. Not as flattering now.

Great quality. Thinner than expected. Wish it was thicker! I have the same shirt from 15 years ago that is better quality

I have a few merino base layers from several years ago. Which I love. The old ones are worn out in some places but I wear them often so I ordered 2 more. They just arrived and it seems like the weight of the fabric has gotten much much thinner which is ok but not great.

There's a time and place for every weight of Merino, but this one wasn't for me. So thin, I feel like a less expensive sportwear fabric blend will be fine for me. Like other reviews, I found it a bit scratchy.
I did note that the writing on the inside of the shirt did say Merino 250 but I am certain it's 150 weight because the hang tag said it, and I ordered a Merino 250 as well which was considerably thicker.

My feelings about this shirt are so mixed. I have 8 of these shirts and I find them perfect in nearly every way except that they develop holes quickly on the front of the shirt meaning that I can no longer wear them for anything except yard work/cleaning. (See photos for examples of 5 different shirts with holes). Given the high price tag for a shirt, it just seems like a waste.

Bought it for a hike this summer. Love the feel of the fabric, kept me cool and dry. BUT during my first day of wearing it I noticed the seam inside the arm is fraying, all along the seam - where it touches the body as you walk. After one day? I'll be returning it.

I ordered this thinking I had the all season base layers and was adding colors. Very disappointed as this is very thin/transparent. Not all season where I live. Definitely need to layer it with another layer. The Thermal classic base layer is soft and can be worn alone 3 seasons. Oops order.

I use these base layer crewneck shirts primarily for teaching yoga. The slim fit is good s people can see what I'm doing as I demonstrate. However, this one is too thin and too long. So I would have to pay to shorten it and it's not worth the extra expense since the fabric is too see-through. I will be returning this for a refund, sorry to say.

I am not as happy with this top as it feels like a different material than my other all-season L/S tops. It also runs a bit small :-(

I bought a gray top and I would like to exchange it for a black top.

The Fox Brown color is fantastic. I ordered a medium, which is my usual size, and it was so tight overall that it looked awful. I wanted this badly enough that I sent the medium back and ordered both a large and an extra large, hoping that one would fit. But even the extra large was tight across the chest, while being much too large in the arms. So I had to send the large and extra large back as well.
This might be okay for someone who is really small in the chest and who orders a size up. But it didn't work for me.

I've worn and washed the shirt 3 times. It seemed a little big when I got it, but I figured it would shrink a bit to fit just like the size large blue one I have that is exactly the same shirt. Well, it didn't shrink and it's definitely bigger than the blue one I love. It's also a little thinner I think and it just doesn't look flattering on me. It's kind of hangs. Pretty disappointing.

Bought this as a thin base layer for snow sports. I get hot so I thought the thin layer would be good for me. It kept me warm. It if I thought about it I felt itchy. It's not soft at all. Whoever says it's soft has never worn something soft. I thought it would soft and itch free like the mid weight base layer I purchased for my daughter last year.

This is the first merino garment I've bought that itches, regardless of brand. Otherwise I like the long length in the torso and sleeves. I'm 5'9" and it fits great overall. I'm really disappointed how itchy it is. Feels more like scratchy inferior quality wool than merino.

I gave this sweater away to someone else because the pattern (blue color with cloud like images) was ugly. Also this smartwool sweater is slightly itchy on my skin. I was not comfortable to wear.

It was the wrong size and it was returned. I would order again in a different size once my credit card is reimbursed.
