Great hat, worn it several days fishing and hiking. It's light weight and breathes well. I have a very small head for a dude and have trouble finding hats that fit, this one has a slightly smaller than normal fit and is perfect for me. Only con is the fabric on the outside face tends to wrinkle up and doesn't look as smooth as the photos. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars.

This is an awesome hat. Bought it a few weeks ago as I needed a good hat that i could throw in my bag and use for my days hiking personally and my days guiding. My favorite thing about it is that it does not loose its shape. No matter how many bags i throw it into in a week, it still looks as nice as the day I got it (no folds or marks). ADD PLUS it looks good on too!

Super comfortable but the bill is never even. I think the material holds its shape too well so if it's bent a little in the packaging, it never straightens back out

Got this for summer days in the alpine that are too windy for the sombriolet and too hot for a cotton ball cap. It's not bad but rides a little high ( I don't have a particularly big head either) and also the brim is a little small

Well, I really wanted to love this hat. So much so that after the first one I bought from Backcountry got lost in the mail, I ordered another overnight just to have it in time for a hiking trip. When the second hat came I was thrilled with the looks and fit of the hat. But, and this is a big but, I was shocked to discover that there is no adjustability in the hat at all. Just a plastic buckle that clips or unclips, that's it.
So, after wearing the house around the house for the night I decided that even though the hat didn't adjust, that it fit well (read: snug) enough to keep.
Fast forward to the next day, I throw on my new hat and head out hiking for the weekend. About an hour into my hike I reach the first overlook of the day and whoosh, a gust of wind comes along and blows my new hat off my head and subsequently right off of a 200+ ft cliff.
I just can't for the life of me understand why OR would make this hat non-adjustable. It is advertised as a "snap-back" design, which I guess it technically is, but it is not what most would recognize as such.

Used for trail running exclusively. Washed it after 2 uses, in warm water, and it shrunk to a size where it wouldn't fit an infant.

I have a big head, and this fit isn't good. Also the fit is a slip buckle, not the kind you normally see on hats.
