Comfortable, lightweight and quiet.

Running in this hat keeps me not only safe from the sun but it also looks very swaggy. TY outdoor research.

I really love the materials on this cap. They're usually too thick and my head gets itchy in the heat or just after a while of wearing them but not with this one. I liked it so much that my husband got jealous and got one too lol.

This hat is perfect for days where I don't opt for a sun hoodie. Full sun coverage, has saved me from many sunburns. Also find myself using the hat without the sun guard pretty often. Lightweight and very breathable.

My partner and I just completed a section hike through the PCT in the southern half of Washington. The sun was out in full every day, but the hat kept us both from getting sunburnt and didn't feel like it was trapping heat or sweat. It does look a little goofy at first and is a bit finicky to loop the back of hat through to get the flaps on. But once we got used to it, they weren't a problem! Overall, we would highly recommend for anyone hiking in very sunny/exposed areas.

My original hat became tattered with bushwacking overgrown trail and fallen trees on the PCT Southern California section. This is a great hat that provides more effective sun protection for the face than hoodies.

It isn't stylish or cool looking, but that isn't what it is for. It is pretty easy to use and keeps sun off your ears and neck. I plan to use it on the water (kayaking). It would probably be too hot for running in humid Georgia summers, so I don't plan to replace my sun hoodie with this.

Great hat for local cycling.

Husband loves it, wears one everyday. Keeps the sun off his neck while gardening, funnels air while biking, all without flapping in the breeze. Just bought 2 more today.

The fabric is super soft and I found the cape is also good for protection on windy days. I'm a petite woman and the medium size is very comfortable.

Light and very breathable! You can choose to look ridiculous some of the time instead of all of the time by removing the cape. The cape is of nice quality and offers ample coverage.

With this hat I can avoid sunburn without the oily mess of lots of sunscreen. The hat is really comfortable, and the hood detaches easily when not needed.

When I put on this hat I look 20 years older but it keeps me cool on long trail runs in the heat. I burn easy and this lets air flow to my face and neck while keeping me safe from the sun. I recommend this product to all adventurers who want to get the job done without looking like an annoying influencer.

I am very happy with this sun hat. It is light and breathable and comfortable and provides great protection. I consider it a massive upgrade from my giant, heavy, canvas, hot, sombrero style bucket hat.

This hat is light and comfortable, and the different sizes allowed me to find one that fit well. The removable drape is ideal, as I don't always need it. It is easy to remove and replace. Best of all, this hat is light and so flexible it is perfect for our backpacking trip where every ounce counts!

I used this hat for my JMT trip couple of year back. I absolutely love it's multifunction feature. You can take off skirt and rock into town. Or put the skirt on and hit the trail. It blocks sunlight in day and also blocks morning chill air. It is light weight Breathable and absolutely must have piece of gear.

My OR Sun Runner curtains hat has been excellent and seen many summits. I'm liking it for all occasions, boating and yard work even. Got my woman one and she wears it too, even though we try not to wear matching stuff. It's nice you can remove the curtains, tie them under your chin, let them fly in the breeze or pull them back. I've never seen another curtains hat do all that. Saves my head, neck and ears from the sun beating on them. We are getting some new ones since our old ones are getting a bit old now. The old ones have lasted and will be a good back up. They've been 100% worth the investment. Sun hats are often doofie looking but these aren't. If you need to wear one, these are the best looking sun hats.

I love this hat for running and hiking. I trail run in the forest mainly, so I usually only wear the hat part. But the cape is light and easy to put on, so I keep it in my vest for when I run in more exposed areas.

It's very comfortable and protects my neck well. It's a bit dorky looking but does the job. I really like the fact that you can remove the neck cape and just wear it like a normal hat.
