I found them to be extremely comfortable from my first wearing, and they are pretty bomb-proof on the trail. They have a sturdy footbed and sole for hiking on rocky or gravely surfaces. I just bought my fourth pair of them, I wear them daily from March through November!

This is my first pair of Merrell hiking shoes, although my husband owns several. My feet need a lot of support and after wearing these for two weeks, my feet feel great. I'm so glad that I purchased these. I needed a wide size, and the only place I could find those was on the website. I always worry about buying a shoe online, but these seem to be a perfect fit!

These are first pair of true walking shoes. I'm 71 and not very active but do enjoy walking. After falling twice in 6 months i knew it was time for a change. I honestly was shocked by how much more stable my stride felt and how incredibly comfortable the shoes are. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair. You will be SO glad you did.

This is my third pair of Moab 2 Ventilators. I have hiked throughout Humboldt County with my first pair and continued the journey in Mendocino County. I hike at least three times a week and wear my boots when I work in my country yard. They are great and extremely comfortable.

These are the best walking shoes I've ever found. So comfortable and stable with great tread. My orthotics fit perfectly inside them and foot pain stays at a minimum. They're not the most beautiful shoes, but they are definitely the most comfortable, ever. In fact, I rarely wear any other shoe.

I received the shoes, put them on, walked around the house, got my keys, and hit the trail. Walked up the rocky hill of Tiburon, and haven't stopped since!!!! Love them. I notice they feel better on the trail than the asphalt........so, maybe I need a different pair when I know I'll be on a paved road. ANd what can I say???? LOVE THEM!!!

Just walked in the Dolomites. Good support and traction

These Merrells are the best comfort and support shoes I have ever owned. The color is neutral on this particular shoe and the material does not soil! The toe bumper is a great feature and the height of the heel and arch accommodate a healthy fit. I have worn these most of the past year almost daily and they still feel and look in prime shape.

I purchased these for my hikes in the mountains, definitely worth every penny. I know shoes are worth it when I put 7 miles on them the first day & don't even feel it. (:

Perfect right out of the box! I live in Colorado, walk, hike, bike everyday & I love them . I order a new pair every year!

This is my first pair of Merrells, and I'm a fan. We live near the Delaware Canal Path in PA, and I was noticing that the bottoms of my feet were getting sore from frequent walks/runs. After wearing my new Merrells, my feet are 100% better. I usually wear 6 1/2 Wide, and that's what I got. They are probably a little wider than necessary, but extremely comfortable, and I can lace them to fit perfectly.

I LOVE these shoes! I have flat, wide feet and it is hard to find a wide, comfortable shoe. I will never wear anything else but Merrell's!

I bought these boots for Grand Canyon rafting trip. I immediately walked miles over desert rocks, thru hip deep pools, and up rocky ledges and felt secure and comfortable at every step. Great product!

Smoke colorway - the leather portions are more tan than in the picture, but otherwise the shoe is great!

I have had three pairs of these. They never need breaking in. I just put them on and my feet go, "Aaaahh!" I have very spread out toes and these work well for me.

I suffer from plantar fascitis, new shoes are important to me. These were amazing... we were in Yellowstone for days and my feet were fine! They are so comfortable!

This is my second pair of Moab 2 Ventilators, I bought my first pair in 2003. They still had a lot of tread on the sole. My first pair took me all over San Diego hikes. Hiked in a day up to Mt Whitney and then on to New Zealand for a 3 day Routeburn Track. We moved to Utah recently and have hike pretty much everyday with my AmStaffi . I hope to get years of hiking in with my second pair
