Been a long time fan of Merrell shoes, don't really know how many I have owned. They feel great on day one and don't seem to need a break in period. I wore them right out of the box for some trail hiking in Alabama, they don't disappoint

These fit more snugly than the non-waterproof version. I plan on returning them for 1/2 size larger.

Well! I was a firm Vasque fan but I'm switching to these. I have Morton's neuroma in both feet (yay!) and a 90% recovered plantar fasciitis in my left foot. (I am 6' tall and 168 pounds and not a runner- not sure why this all happened to my feet!!!) Anywhoooo, I've discovered the BEST shoes are ones with a steel shank- meaning, firm as steel so it doesn't bend a lot. Thus, I called Merrel, Vasque (Talus), and Keen (Steen) asking which of their shoes was the stiffest. After ordering, I put in my insoles with metatarsal pads etc. And the Moabs? They are AWESOME. I think the tread is better on the Vasque Talus but one thing bothered me with the Vasque's- the tongue on them cut into my ankle. It's too long? Too big? It just bugged me. So there! All you foot-issue folks have more info for your next purchase.

This is a great style. Comfortable and well made. I buy a new pair every year. I hope they never stop making it.

My second pair. First pair were great right out of the box. Worn about 50% of the time for walking, hiking, traveling, and working in the field for construction inspection. After about 8 years they are showing their wear. In the same time I've worn out 3 pairs of steel toed boots.

My husband is a long time Merrell fan and these shoes hit another home run … comfortable right out the box…perfect fit with his normal shoe size….great arch support!

Nice fit and surprising not a long breaking in time. Passed its first water test too. Bit heavier than the standard Moab.

Very comfortable from the first day.

I had previously purchased the high-top version of the Moab 2 and the "glove-style fit" was borderline tight. On hot days when I was on my feet for a long time, I think they swell a tad and they became really uncomfortable and made my feet ache. I repurchased a second pair of the high-top style a half-size larger, and they are overall much more comfortable. So the low-top pair that I just purchased is my third Moab 2s; I went with the plus-half size and they fit perfect. And they're really comfortable no matter how hard I work or how hot it is outside.

My son wore these out during college and I had to pick up another pair for him. True size and width. Comfortable and sturdy.

Been a Merrell's customer for many years. My last two pair have been waterproof, and they hold up well and keep my socks dry, too. Went for a two mile fast-paced jaunt with these right out of the box with no issues.
