these run almost a size big. I'm a 7/7.5 and ordered these in 6.5 and use a Superfeet orthotic and they are still roomy -- which I very much like. Salomon shoes fit me well and these are no exception. I bought them as lightweight, stylish travel hikers and loved them so much that they replaced my other salomon's as daily summer walking shoe. HOWEVER, like the reviewer above, I just contacted zappo's because after 3 months of occasional wear, mine also have holes in the mesh of each shoe! I am so disappointed, because I do love them and really don't love the idea of starting over. And I, too, tip my hat to Zappo's customer service, who accepted the return without any hassle. Love you guys!

Ordered several water shoes to try and so far these are the winners, but did feel a little long so I ordered half a size down to see if that gives me a better fit (I have Samolon hiking boots too and also sized down in those, so I probably should've known). In addition to being comfortable and a good fit even in a half size up, these were BY FAR the most attractive that I tried - I love that they look like sneakers instead of big clunky sandals or long awkward booties like most other water shoes.

I love this shoe. Like, I love love love this shoe! I marked it as wider than marked because I have a really wide foot (I'm a 5'7" woman who is heavy) and found the regular shoe to fit, even though I usually have to seek out wide sizes. I've stood for hours in this shoe and, while it's not the most supportive out there, my feet weren't absolutely dying. My one caution would be to never ever use a foot powder in this shoe! I tossed some in as a matter of course while treating all our shoes and it was the worst mistake I've ever made! Pre-footpowder the shoes were breatheable and dried clean. There was never any of foot smell. After the foot powder, they don't breathe as well and there is a very apparent foot smell. It makes me so sad that I did it! But I'll be buying another pair of these shoes and never will foot powder touch them. They're cute and sleek and work great if you need to be on your feet a lot!

I think these are cute, but the wat the heal angles in towards your ankle is awful. I had them on for less than a minute and was totally annoyed.

I got these in July as trail hikers. They're very lightweight which is nice. It's okay to get them wet which is also nice (fell in a glacial lake! changed my socks and was good to go, no blisters after 4 mile hike back in damp shoes). I would not recommend the black as they get very dusty very quickly and the dust seems to stick to the material, I got black hoping I could also use them for urban exploration but they don't look as nice and clean as I hoped. I'd go grey or brown (if they have them). They are light and airy but also okay to hike with two pairs of socks for colder outings. However, after just 3 months of occasional use, BOTH shoes have holes in the top mesh! I don't know if I got a bad pair or what, but they are not worth the money spent. Too bad, because they were comfortable. Thanks for helping me out on the return, Zappos.

I love these shoes, I am currently on my second pair. I wear them for walking, zumba, and general running around - they're very light weight but provide sufficient support for lots of activities.

Cute and lightweight, but A) too small when I put in my orthotic. ( Usually I am a 7 and I order a 7.5 in athletic shoes because I like to use the orthotic for better support.) Also, I felt I would overpronate in these as there was no substance to the outside of the shoe.

these are cute, but very, very lightweight... to the point they feel cheap and possibly not well constructed. i don't think that's the case -- i think they are probably pretty nice shoes, but they are so lightweight that they seem cheap. to be fair, being so lightweight is good for hiking/trail walking (which is the intent of my purchase), so i can't really fault for that. i am usually an 8.5 or 9, and generally default to 9 when ordering shoes online. i feel that these run a bit large lengthwise, and i would have fit better in an 8.5. additionally, i felt that because they were so lightweight (the siding), it seemed that my foot was a bit wide for the sole. this is probably because i am used to a more stiffly constructed sneaker, therefore my foot generally feels more contained. they were NOT actually too narrow, it just felt a bit odd. the tongue of the shoe is very thin. maybe it's because i have never purchased trail shoes specifically, but these shoes are a bit strange to me (not necessarily bad though). i will be returning these, possibly exchanging them for a half size smaller. the purple color is a pretty, rich royal purple/almost royal blue.

These are very lightweight. That's not a bad thing! If you're looking for very lightweight, water friendly shoes, they'd be worth a try.But the insole felt so lightweight that even though there was decent support, I could feel the contours of the bottom of the insole. It was a weird feeling.

Purchased a size 6, saw that they were oversized too late, so also ordered a size 5.5. Tried on the 5.5 first, and it was horrifically oversized, didn't even attempt to try on the 6. Returned them both. The shoe is more like it is two sizes too big, yet being narrow.
