In general the Hoka athletic shoes are awesome. I purchased a Bondi 5 for myself and my 16 year old daughter loved them so much I got her a pair too. They are the most comfortable athletic shoe I've ever worn and when I wear a different brand now I feel a huge difference. Arch support in this model is more than average but not overwhelming.

Had 1 pr of Hoka's and Absolutely loved them, got almost worn out went back to buy the same shoe but they don't make that one anymore so I had to switch to the Bondi5. Was not sure after reading a ton of reviews one the shoe if it would work or not. I have had Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis on and off for the last2 years and finally got rid of it. Been a great shoe have about 50 miles on it so I think I have a fair assessment of it. Great shoe and my next set will be the same shoe.

I run 12 to 15 miles a week. I had the Clayton 3s then tried the gaviotas returned them (wrong shoe for my foot type) before I got the Bondi 5. These are outstanding in every way. No complaints. Very good fit. No pinching or friction on my feet, toes. Never had blisters from these. Very plush and easy on bottom of feet. These are outstanding in fit.

I use this pair for Pickle Ball and for long walks due to my severe heel spur and plantar issues. With these on I have almost no pain at all.

I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for over a year. Finding the right shoe which allowed me to keep running while nursing my injury was imperative. This shoe gave me all of the cushioning and support I needed to continue my training. With a consistent stretching regimen, I have even gotten rid of my PF symptoms while continuing to train. Now, I won't wear any other running shoe!

The 4th pair of Hokaoneone’s I’ve owned. These Bondi 5 are also the absolute best. I’m a former professional rugby player, 6’3 285lbs in my early 50’s who still enjoys working out everyday. I’m a big g guy that needs a shoe with maximum support and the Bondi 5 is the best I’ve ever owned. Love, love, love these shoes!

I run about 18-21 miles per week...the Bondi 5 has been an excellent shoe, save for the wear on my heals

The most comfortable running shoe I’ve ever worn. I use these for inside running on treadmill. Amazing Comfort and great support. My feet usually bother me after training - didn’t happen with these shoes.

I had bought the Bondi 5 at the Bloomsday trade shoe in Spokane. I cannot run since I had knee replacement and DO NOT want to go through that again. i walked the race and continued casually walking in these shoes. I am a High School teacher, I love to wear them to work since I am on my feet a lot. Before the next Bloomsday race, the soles were coming apart and falling off the shoe. I returned them and got a new pair. I am so happy and I really brag about the shoes all the time.

For me these shoes were life-changing. I had given up running and felt pain with every walking step because of a soft tissue deterioration in my big toe due to an injury. All that changed when I discovered Hoka which have stiff soles and a rocker motion that prevents bending in the toe joint. On top of that they are super comfortable. I bought my first pair at a running shoe store and these are my second in black so I can also wear to work. Admittedly they are a little bulky-looking (though very light-weight) and I’m certainly willing to trade a sleeker look for a pain-free stride.

I've been a loyal Asics (Cumulus, Nimbus, Kayano) runner for the last ten years. However, their revamp of the Cumulus has narrowed the toe box to the point where a 2E wasn't going to cut it for me anymore. I thought I'd try the Hoka One One due to the extensive cushioning the Bondi 5 offers as well as the great reviews this shoe has gotten.
My thoughts after running in these about ten miles ...
First impression: There is definitely a lot of room in these shoes. Plenty of space ... Almost felt like there was too much room until I inserted my custom insoles. Great workmanship with very good materials and I really like the design.
First run: There is definitely A LOT of cushioning on this shoe. It takes some getting used to but it definitely feels supportive with a firm ride (somewhere between a Cumulus and a Nimbus). The shoe does feel a bit heavier than my Asics but I hope the cushioning and less wear-tear on my joints will make up for it.
After three runs: I have definitely gotten used to the weight and feel. The longest run I've been on so far is three miles. Going to do a few more short runs to break in the shoe before I start putting long runs in. So far so good!

This shoe is amazing. Wearing this shoe feels like you are walking on a cloud. This shoe along with the Hoka Stinson 3 are the most cushioned shoes ever.

I needed something to max cushion my tired old feet while running on concrete. I get my arch support from Superfeet inserts, so it actually works better for me to have a neutral, wide, cushioned shoe than it is to get arch support from the shoe. It is not for everyone , but is a superb shoe for its target customers.

Great for walking. Very good for fallen arches, orthodics. Recommended by podiatrist for my arthritic feet and she was right. The color is versatile for many outfits.
