I have been running in Hoka shoes for several years. They are a great help if you have bunion issues. The availability of wide sizes is also a plus. Depending on the actual width of the shoe, I float between size 11 and 10 1/2. These were just right at 10 1/2. The style is also great. The black version is the best looking Hoka shoe. Good enough for work-casual without looking like you are headed to the gym. My only complaint about Hoka is when they change models as often as they do. Since running shoes need to be changed out after a limited number of miles, I now buy a backup pair when I find one that I like.

The Bondi 5 is superior for walking on concrete, and is surprisingly good for trail hiking, as well! After seeing reviews commenting on a narrow fit, I am happy to find that they are appropriately wide - I certainly would not want them to be wider. These were a gift, but now that I have them, I know that I will consider another pair in the future.

I have been running in the Hoka Bondi series for years (since the Bondi B version) and this is by far is the best update yet. Improvements: 1) More comfortable toe box/extra width in the forefoot. 2) MUCH improved uppers (the mesh in the Bondi 4's broke down after about 3 months or less). The uppers are more supple and breathable. 3) Added rubber on sole to improve wear without compromising the cushion. 4) MUCH improved looks and color choices. The only issue I've had with the new Bondi 5's are the shoe laces are "slick" and while they don't come untied when I run they are harder to "hold" when tying the shoe. Hoka's have enabled me to extend my running life and have made running a joy again. I am in my early 50's weigh 200 pounds, 6' 1" and run 3x a week mostly on the road. Nice job on the update Hoka.

I've been using Hoka's for running for years. I started because I have 2 labral hip repairs, and a bulging disc in my back. These really help with my joint and back problems. If you have extra wide feet or need more arch support, go for the men's version. I have some running friends who only buy men's because of the extra width. I've bought many Bondi versions, because I really like how comfortable they are-And how long they last! Hoka stands by their brand, and they've replaced a pair for me with no problems when it fell apart (that's only happened once out of 20 something pairs). I LOVE these shoes. I'm a paramedic and wish they made a boot! A bunch of my nursing friends wear them to work because of how comfortable they are. They were made for people who ran ultra marathons (50 miles+), and made to LAST. I'll be a lifetime customer:)
*TIP: if it is your first time buying and wearing this style of shoe, expect to feel new muscles engaging for the first week or two. Don't worry-You won't regret it!

I recently got into ultra running. I have a very wide foot and if you look at my physique you would never think I am a runner. This shoe is a gift from god. I have been struggling to find a wide shoe with good cushion. Previously I have been wearing brooks beast/addiction/adrenaline and had a problem with each pair. I usually wear a 3E/4E and the width on the Bondi Wide is perfect. The rocker technology keeps the momentum going on your run. Last night I shaved 4 minutes off of my half marathon time without even trying. If you love running but have wide feet, buy this shoe, nothing else.

I have already run through 3 pairs of these shoes. Such a vast improvement over the Bondi 4. I use the 2e size and its the perfect shoe for me.

I loved the Bondi 3, I thought the Bondi 4 was too narrow, and these Bondi 5 are back to being a true wide shoe. They are very comfortable and seem to be lasting longer than my Bondi 3s did. Nice job!

Got to the point where running on consecutive days was out of the question. Knee pain was too severe. I've run in Brooks, Nike, Saucony and Mizuno. The look of the Hoka wasn't appealing but once I put it on, I was a believer. Using my old pair as everyday sneakers and buying a new pair. Knee pain doesn't have to stop you.

Thanks Hoka - awesome shoe for this 5'10" 135 lb'er that runs 21 miles/week, 2-weight sessions/week.
Size 13 Wide perfect for fun runs with zero wear/tear due to width, shock absorb ability, stability, long wear!

This is a great update to the Bondi 4. I have flat feet and run about 40-60 miles per week while in training, and after Hoka destroyed my Stinson Lites with that trash they called the Stinson 3, I needed a new go to for Ultra training. I had a pair of Bondi 3's years ago, however, never really found the B4's all that great, somehow the 4 just lacked the traditional Hoka cushioning that keeps me coming back. The Bondi 5 is a great update; wider last, comfortable breathable upper, and light weight! These are slightly firmer than the Clifton 3, but that firmness translates into more stability for my slight over pronation vs the C3. Also, the Clifton series keeps getting fatter and heavier, so the weight difference is negligible between the C3 and Bondi at this point (side note: Running Warehouse First Look has the Clifton 4 gaining even MORE weight.. unacceptable for a shoe that originally only weighed 7.6oz and was magical.... C4 is projected at 9.5-10oz). The cushioning of the B5 is extremely plush - but not squishy - making it more responsive than the C3. While I couldn't imagine doing tempo or speed work in this shoe, it is perfect for racking up the miles just cruising/daily training and for recovery runs. It is a great compliment to my last pair of Stinson Lites in the rotation for ultra training. Love the neon orange colorway. Good job Hoka! Now please bring back my Stinson Lites!

First time in the Bonding 5. Fits me like a glove and I need the cushion because I have an artificial hip. I love this show.

I normally run about 25-30 miles a week. I have flat feet and a neutral gait. I like the "harder" feel of the 5 Biondi 5. They felt perfect on my feet, giving that Hoka Euphoria feeling that makes me feel like I can comfortably run forever.

I have run in the Bondi since their creation & each one seemed to get narrower & narrower in the base. With the Bondi 5 the base has gotten wider & more stable & they have stiffened the ride a little bit. For me it's like going back several versions. They couldn't have made better changes for me.

I have never purchased from Zappos but will start now that my local running store is on life support. I am not paid by Hoka One One, I am not endorsed either. I have three cervical fusions and I have Osgoode-Schlatter in my knees. I used Mizuno and Brooks for a while running and then after my knees would start barking at me the place I used to buy in person recommended these. These are hands down probably the best overall shoe and specifically running shoes I personally have ever been in. I honestly didn't start to feel anything in my knees until I hit the 300 mile mark in these. I proceeded to get a new pair and switch the old pair over to just walking. I suspect I can easily get 200 more miles in these. Zero wear in the soles. I thought about trying Altra but since I already have knee issues I'll never leaves these shoes. Please keep making the Bondi line Hoka. If you read reviews like this, know that this shoe is dead on. I will always buy Hoka now. Mizuno and Brooks are great but these are better. No disrespect you two....
