Have been searching for a shoe with cushion, low heel to toe drop and good fit in the upper. I used to run in Brooks Glycerin but they now make the drop too large throwing my weight into my knees. Have tried the Clifton 3 and the ATR 2 but the upper is not as comfortable in those and the arch support is poor. I have run in the new ATR 3 and they remind me of the fit of the Brooks yet with low drop and great cushion!! So far I like them and hope they will be my new marathon shoe!

Walking in these shoes is like walking on a Tempurpedic mattress. Anyone who has a foot or joint issue should give these a try for the extra cushioning and shock absorbing they provide. They are my new favorites!

These are not good trail shoes at all. I have had Hoka's before and loved them but this pair fell apart right away. I ran in them for less than six weeks and both of them have torn along the crease of the toe box. I had my last pair of Hoka's for three years but these are trash after less than two months. I am completely unimpressed with these and would NOT recommend them. They may be ok for the mall but not the trail.

Replacing my Hoka One One Cliftons & tried this. Narrower than the Clifton 4, so had to return. (And I have narrow feet.)

Good looking and comfortable shoe. Fits smaller than Hoka One One traditional sizing, but true to traditional running shoe size. I usually wear a 10.5B, or a 10.5D in Hokas. For reference, I wear an llB in Brooks. I size up for room to fit orthotics. The 11B Hoka fits fine. This shoe fits very similiar to my older Brooks. Roomier toe box which is great.

Narrower foot bed than other hoka styles that I have tried. Love the brand, gonna try a different style that offers the wide sizing.

I had the previous Challenger ATR and the 8.5 fit perfectly. This new ATR3 fits a half size smaller.

Loved the "lift" on this shoe, but the toebox was too narrow...darn

Are usually wear an 8 1/2 or nine with an orthotic and depending on the thickness of the socks I'm wearing in a particular season. I ordered three different pairs of Hoka since the descriptions of the various models made no sense to me. I thought all three pairs in size 8 1/2 and try them on without orthotics and a very thin sock. They were all terribly tight. Well more than a half size too small and probably too narrow as well. I want to love the shoes but I'm afraid to try again.

Have had these shoes 6 months. They are basically splitting 3 inches below the toe. Durability on the upper shoe is the worst of any tennis shoe I’ve owned! Sole and comfort are great - upper shoe falling apart!

I already had a pair (black/mint) and used them in a marathon to qualify for Boston. Love this shoe, it is super light, but very durable as I train on loose gravel roads and uneven surfaces. It performs beautifully on these rough surfaces as well as on pavement. The break-in period is very short as they fit well from the beginning.

If they don't have your size, it is because I bought all of them! I love this shoe and was so sad when the ATR 4 came out--unrecognizable as the Challenger. The ATR4s are so different, Hoka should have given them a different name. The ATR3 has a nice roomy toe box and little arch support (perfect for flat feet) while the ATR4 is longer (I know this because I tried to switch out the insole to fix issues I had with the ATR 4 and the ATR3 insoles couldn't cover the length of the ATR4), narrower, and have too much of an arch. I was nothing but blisters.

Great shoes for trail running. I've worn them on the smooth trails of Bryce Canyon and on the rocky and root-filled trails of North Carolina. They do well in a variety of conditions. They're comfortable and fairly light. I have no complaints.

I have a huge problem with buying sneakers. I always feel like my heel is sliding out of them, my feet fall asleep, burning in my toes. These alleviate all of that! They are so comfortable. My heal stays put and while I know the feet falling asleep has something to do with how tight they are tied, I feel that with the heel not slipping, I can leave them a little looser or comfortably snug. I'm so happy I found them!

Love this ATR shoes. Grabbing them up since they are discontinued. Updated pair too narrow. Hope they stop changing these shoes, actually all their shoes!

I just recently started running and began to get shin splints. These shoes are incredible! Feel like running on clouds. I do only run on a tread mill.

I am on my feet a tremendous amount. These sneakers are great for standing, walking, running, elliptical, barn work! Truly everything! I will say I have tried other Hoka's and these are by far the best for my feet! Definitely worth a try I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!

I find these sneaks very expensive at regular prices and have not worn them since I retired. So I have the fixed income blues. Last winter I gave up all activity as my feet were extremely painful. After gaining 13 pounds I decided to go for it. Went to a local shoe store and tried these on. Very comfortable. Where I live there are few shopping options so I tried online and selected three to try. My feet have been massed broken buinons planter fasciitis neuromas and are just plain ugly. With that said I never expected to feel fairly comfortable again. I pulled them out of the box and two pairs were ok but these were a wow. I was off and running with the dogs again. I am buying another pair of the same and keeping the other two. Please keep a wider toe box and the padding for those of us who are senior purchasers. With narrow heels and wider forefoot. These funky colored shoes will be on my feet when I do a 5k with the dog for a fundraiser and now I can go hiking on the paths around here again. I know I will be sorry when my budget comes do next month but I actually was up and dancing last night. Thx and please send me all your sale notices.
