Sizing seems to run smaller than previous in toe box area. Overall sizing runs small.

The Ultraboost (UB) is a well-designed pair of shoes, but not the best. Obviously, the shock absorption is amazing, which is what most people say about it. However, the design requires some major modifications, relative to the Pureboost Go (PG), which seems to have been designed by a different team at Adidas. Unlike the PG which produces a nearly uniform pressure over the foot while lacing up, the UB yields a much more localized pressure, primarily around the top of the foot near the ankle. Moreover, the UBs are low-top shoes, unlike the PGs. While running in the UBs, i did experience some heel displacement for both feet, which was not the case for the PGs. I did somewhat mitigate this issue by removing the insoles, and wearing thinner socks, but I couldnt duplicate the comfortable, uniformly snug feel i got from the PGs. The plastic lacing cage needs to go - it may be more robust to wear and tear, but its not as efficacious as the PGs' lacing configuration. I would probably still keep the UBs just for walking and work, but they do need to be redesigned before i buy multiple pairs.
